Hear hear!
PM Carney on the Americans calling the alcohol ban an irritant: "You know what's an irritant? 50% tariffs on steel. 50% tariffs on aluminum. 25% tariffs on automobiles. All the tariffs on forest products. Those are more than irritants, those are violations of our trade deal."

The @scbroncos leading @CHLHockey in terms of percentage of population that attend games. With much respect to the Giants, who have a great game day and organization, they are NOT drawing from a local population of just 29,000.
The CHL’s top 10 in terms of percentage of local population attending games, through March 3rd! 🏒🎟️

This is utterly unhinged.
The people orchestrating this reckless, unsustainable mass immigration into Canada fill me with profound disgust. To deliberately engineer and champion such explosive, unmanageable population growth in your own nation? That’s the height of civic irresponsibility. Was it fueled by greed? Did they line their pockets while irrevocably straining our healthcare, education, and social safety nets? Or does their contempt for Canada’s core values and traditions drive them to flood our borders with millions from societies not built on the same foundations that have made us thrive? Why import from nations with failed systems when our Judeo-Christian heritage and principles have worked so well here? It almost feels like these elites are ashamed of what built this great country. This is a stark reminder of why Albertans, and indeed countless Canadians, harbor deep mistrust toward the Laurentian elite in Ottawa. They seem all too eager to prioritize their agendas over the well-being of the True North strong and free.

To be frank, tragedies like Tumbler Ridge show the very real consequence of media illiteracy on policing/public safety issues in Canada. The 'experts' are professors and lawyers with no obvious practical experience, and we end up with weeks of thoroughly uninformed "debate".

In 1976, 92% of high school seniors said that they had consumed alcohol in their lives. In 2022, that was 53%. Smoking cigarettes went from 76% to 17% during the same time period. Marijuana use is down by 26 pts. Oh, and teen pregnancy is down 75% since the early 1990s.

I was at a friends place last night . His wife put a cigarette out in the fire pit before we went inside for dinner. 10 mins later we noticed the pit was in full blaze . Innocent enough but incredibly dangerous . I support Premier Houston’s call on this 100%.
Respectfully disagree. As a woodlot owner in NS, I can tell you firsthand: the forest floor is like tinder right now. You can feel the heat rising from it - just waiting for a spark. Our province is small, and communities are tightly woven into the woods. One fire here doesn’t just burn trees, it can jump roads, wipe out homes, and trap people fast. We don’t have the buffer zones or firebreaks that larger provinces often do. A short-term ban on recreational access is inconvenient for sure, but it’s also smart. One careless step could cost millions and devastate lives.

Davis Day 2025. 100 years ago Bill Davis, father of ten, was shot to death by the Coal Company police. His death has never and never will be forgotten in Cape Breton. Norma’s amazing song is the best at telling this story. Give a listen. normamacdonald.bandcamp.com/…

He says he doesn’t need our oil but wants Keystone XL built. Like Kristofferson sang”He’s a walking contradiction , seldom truth , mostly fiction”… or something like that.
Just so I’m clear - Trump wants Canada to strengthen its border but also wants to eliminate the border. Makes as much sense as ever.

The battle of our day is no longer about Democrats versus Republicans or left versus right. The choice right now is democracy or dictatorship. And we're sliding faster than I ever thought possible into the latter. Everyone must choose which side they’re on.

New Brunswick is breaking down interprovincial trade barriers and we are tackling labour mobility head on. New Brunswick will take the lead in recognizing certified professionals coming from every province and territory in Canada. We’re working to ensure that all 52 regulated occupations, including healthcare workers, teachers, tradespeople, and every professional on the list can get to work faster here in New Brunswick. A British Columbian Nurse is a Canadian Nurse and now, a New Brunswick Nurse – all are welcome to bring their skills and experience to NB!
