With a week until the election, Senator Lincoln Hough gave a great call to action last week as he received the Missouri Association of Rural Education "Friend of Rural Schools" award. "Stay involved" after the election, and "don't give up" when it comes to fighting for our @MoEducation schools! @MASALeaders @MissouriSBA @MSTA @MissouriNEA @MSHSAAOrg @Fogle4MO @lincolnhough
Watching what's been going on with the State Board and the General Assembly, Public Schools definitely depend on having people voting for them!
It’s the kind of joy you can’t get from a digital download.
I want to take a second with this post to crystallize this moment and what Castlevania has meant to me over the years.
I’ve been playing Castlevania since the original released in 1987, so walking out of Best Buy today with a brand-new physical Castlevania game in my hands after waiting nearly 13 years for a new entry is incredibly meaningful to me. 🥹
It’s been really special getting to experience this series from the beginning and watching it grow and evolve over nearly four decades. With Castlevania celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than having a brand new adventure to play.
The music is a huge part of that history for me, too. The Castlevania games have an absolutey S-tier soundtrack. When I think about the greatest music in gaming, Castlevania is right there alongside Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Persona, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound, Donkey Kong Country, Duck Tales and I’m sure many others I’m forgetting to name as I write this post. 😂
There are literally too many amazing Castlevania tracks for me to even begin naming favorites. So many of these themes have stayed with me for decades, and hearing them can instantly transport me back to a particular game, moment, or a completely different period of my life. That music is every bit as much a part of Castlevania to me as the Belmonts, Dracula and the castle itself. 🎶
I also want to give a HUGE congratulations to Evil Empire for having the courage to shoot your shot by pitching Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania to Konami. You knocked it out of the park, and that ultimately helped earn you the opportunity to develop a brand-new Castlevania game. Now here we are. You did it. 👏
To Konami… I’m just so happy to have you back making new Castlevania games again. ❤️
Happy 40th Anniversary, Castlevania! 🦇🏰
I’ve waited a LONG time for this moment. Now it’s finally time to play Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.
I can’t wait to dive in, and I’ll have my review for you as soon as possible! ❤️

As Missouri goes does this path, and it's own state school board refuses funding, something to keep in mind:

Before calling a Missouri school an A, B, C, D or F, look beyond the letter. Poverty, student growth, recovery and local context matter. Good public conversations need more than one grade. MissouriSchools.org/achievem… @MASALeaders @MSTA

Stanford University charges $65,127 per year in tuition. A 4-year degree costs roughly $260,000 before room, board, and fees. The acceptance rate is 3.6%. For every 100 students who apply, 96 are told no.
Stanford has also published for free, online, accessible to anyone on Earth with an internet connection over 2,100 courses, the complete AI curriculum its graduate students use, hundreds of full lecture series on YouTube, one of the most comprehensive philosophy references ever written, a design thinking toolkit used by Google and Nike, medical school health courses, business strategy lectures from Stanford GSB, entrepreneurship resources from the university that produced Google, Netflix, Instagram, LinkedIn, and PayPal and research papers that have shaped entire industries.
A Stanford professor told a friend: "Most people think Stanford's knowledge is locked behind a $65,000/year gate. It's not. The gate is the degree the credential, the campus, the network, the diploma. The knowledge has been free for over a decade published on YouTube, Coursera, edX, and Stanford's own website. The same lectures I give to students who paid $65,000 are sitting on a YouTube channel with 4 million subscribers. Most people have never searched for them because they assumed a university this expensive would never give anything away."
She said: "Why would Stanford give it away?"
"Because the degree is the product not the knowledge. The knowledge is the marketing. A free Stanford course that changes your life is the best advertisement for a $260,000 degree. And the research the papers, the encyclopedias, the toolkits exists to advance human knowledge, not to generate tuition revenue. Stanford publishes freely because the mission has always been public. The price tag is for the credential. The education has been free since the moment they uploaded the first lecture."
He showed her 11 free Stanford resources most people don't know exist resources that replaced $3,000 in textbooks, $10,000 in professional workshops, and $100,000 in degree programs.
"Stanford's reputation is behind a gate. Stanford's knowledge is not."
