Replying to @united
@united You think it's ok to sell a direct flight, then remove it altogether, rebook your customer to a crapy layover and not reimburse them for anything?! What is this practice United Airlines? #CustomerService #UnitedAirlinesAbuse #CustomersHelpUp

WAY too soon to be sure (especially w/ potential spread over holidays), but we are seeing a plateau @UCSFHospitals in hospitalizations (Fig L) & test positivity (both symptomatic & asymptomatic; R). Next few days will be key.
Until we see sharp downturn, I'm in uber-careful mode.

Tom Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL draft. Which tells me that occasionally, if not often, people assessing your future potential based on past performance don’t know shIt about anything.

Crunched some numbers at halftime... Here's where we stand on Super Bowl ad directors. Ad agencies, remember to ask for women- and minority-owned production companies in addition to directors to amp up diversity in the production space. #3percentSB #SuperBowlAds

The most visceral lesson I learned on the 2008 campaign is more salient today than ever: Leadership is not making others believe in you, it is making others believe in themselves and their capacity to change the world for the better.

Odd side effect of having ALS/a currently terminal illness: I went from being a 35 year old blissfully unaware of his health care plan to being a 40 year old viscerally aware of every plan nuance and just how important the ACA’s protections are for tens of millions.

The point of meditation isn’t to do it perfect, but to show up, breathe, and see what we discover. We sit, observe, allow, and then we sit some more. Our desire for quick, perfect, painless results causes so much suffering. Baby steps in the dark is a good visual to keep in mind.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOLLOW @bsw5020 Brian Wallach! He is a hero, FIGHTING ALS FOR EVERYONE WITH ALL HIS MIGHT. Hit the follow button and be part of both the journey & the victory.
2 ALS patients have more than 75k followers—they won a Congressional Gold Medal (@SteveGleason) and were named to Times’ 100 list (@AdyBarkan).
Me, I’m a random father of 2 trying to end ALS. So I have a favor to ask—can you help me become # 3 and help us win this fight?

Pausing between calls to note how insane it is that in the richest country on earth a patient with a terminal illness has to spend 8+ hours on calls every day in an effort to remake our health care system just so he has a chance—a chance—to live.

We’ve mistaken as negative the uneasiness that comes with not knowing. In fact it can be the seed of awakening, the source of curiosity and wonder, the beginning of possibility, when our discomfort pushes us to break free from the tiny box of pretending we have life figured out.

Every day is a choice. Do I go high or low? Do I express hope or anger? Do I smile or cry? I know I will wake up with ALS and it will take a piece of me. But I get to define what remains. Today, tomorrow and every day.
Good night moon.

To those of you who lift others up instead of tearing them down, who run towards problems instead of creating them, who build community across traditional lines rather than fomenting division: thank you and never stop.
