More details from the organizers. I just wish every conference, every school, every university, every workplace put this much thought into their safety precautions: nitter.gq/_mbdr_/status/16157842…
Yes. The WEF really is taking precautions against COVID. 👏👏👏

When I need a good cry I focus not on the red line but on the area continually underneath it -

What concerns me more than the height of peaks at this new point in SARS-CoV-2 variant evolution is the non-low of the troughs. In fact, every Omicron *low* has been higher than the Delta *peak*. This means a sustained pressure on an already exhausted healthcare system.

Please remind maskless folks that even the perpetually late-to-the-table @WHO woke from its slumber Friday to recommend universal indoor masking. 😷😷😷

Disappointed but not surprised to see two writers in @TorontoStar soft pedaling @fordnation's explicit assault on public healthcare. This not "an interesting idea" or "a possible solution" it is a textbook move to create two tiers of health services in Ontario, that is the goal.

I got 2 leaked letters that show, while we were on holiday, the Doug Ford gov't actually removed conservation authority powers to review development that impact natural spaces that are "intrinsically linked to flooding." Everyone got 3 days notice thenarwhal.ca/ontario-strips… #onpoli

Hey Ontario, You know all those COVID deaths you haven't reported publicly? You do know they eventually show up in the PHAC COVID dataset and in the CVS-D registry, don't you? Now would be a good time to report them before your excess mortality for the last 6 months comes out.

Hypothetical math question. What would be worse? A. A virus that causes immunodeficiency in 100% of people, and that 0.2% of the population have been infected with. B. A virus that causes immunodeficiency in 1% of people and that 80% of the population have been infected with?

Canada has just passed 50,000 reported COVID-19 deaths. In reality, we've likely had about 80K deaths, with another 20K to come as the last 20-30% of us are infected. In the U.S., the half a million dead milestone was front page news. Will our equivalent even be discussed?

This was a funding announcement to operate an MRI machine that doesn't exist. Bingo. #onpoli
Hospital foundation: Okay, so we have to raise the $5M to buy the new MRI machine and build the lab and you make the announcement about how you're investing in hospitals? Sylvia and Doug: Yes. That's correct.

So @jvipondmd, @TRyanGregory and I wrote a thing on immunity debt/gap and immunity theft. This topic has been plagued by hand wave-y, evidence-free expert opinions. The stakes are just too high to not carefully examine all of the existing science and data. calgaryherald.com/opinion/co…

Toddler dies on a hospital floor in the ED of the Ajax Hospital. A 4 year old is flown 350 km in search of an ICU bed. Silence from Dr. Moore, @fordnation CMOH. Will Ford come out tomorrow & tell parents to stop "whining"?

Let's just admit it. @fordnation plan to create a giant tacky glass-covered spa on the site of our beloved #OntarioPlace is essentially a clearcut in downtown Toronto. 800 tress will be logged for this monstrosity in the middle of an important flyway for birds and butterflies.

Ontario's auditor general finds Doug Ford is not properly consulting the public (as it is legally required to do) before changing environment policy. She cites the last housing bill 109, which was made law before consultation ended. That has happened AGAIN with Bill 23 #onpoli
