W Social aloittaa testivaiheen 9. toukokuuta
Eurooppalainen sosiaalisen median alusta W Social käynnistää testivaiheensa lauantaina 9. toukokuuta, joka sattuu myös Eurooppa-päivälle.
Alusta pyrkii muodostamaan vastapainon Elon Muskin X:lle korostamalla vahvaa käyttäjien tunnistautumista ja eurooppalaisia arvoja.
Käyttäjien on todistettava olevansa oikeita ihmisiä ottamalla kuva henkilöllisyystodistuksestaan ja vertaamalla sitä reaaliaikaiseen kasvokuvaan puhelimen kameralla.
Tunnistautumistiedot poistetaan heti käytön jälkeen.
Myös yritykset joutuvat vahvistamaan henkilöllisyytensä.Alustan taustalla on professori Anna Zeiter, jonka mukaan idea syntyi Donald Trumpin uudelleenvalinnan ja JD Vancen puheiden myötä.
Zeiterin mukaan Eurooppa tarvitsee riippumattomamman alustan, jossa botit on karsittu pois.”W” viittaa muun muassa ruotsalaiseen ilmastokampanjaan ”We don’t have time” sekä sanoihin Values (arvot) ja Verified (vahvistettu).
Alusta tukee Blueskyn AT-protokollaa, joten se saa heti yhteyden useisiin muihin palveluihin ja noin 40 miljoonaan käyttäjään.
Dataa käsitellään suomalaisella UpCloud-palvelimella. Käyttäjät voivat esiintyä sekä oikealla nimellä että nimimerkillä.
