Hey @elonmusk, @SpaceX, and @redbull — here's a billion-dollar marketing idea: NASCAR-style sponsorships for rockets! 🚀 Imagine a Red Bull-branded Falcon 9, with sponsored launch broadcasts and astronaut gear. Red Bull gives you wings. SpaceX takes you to space. What do you think?

An advanced alien civilization, believing its religion applies to all intelligent life, mass-produces small AI missionary probes and scatters them across the galaxy. No faster-than-light travel required. After thousands of years, one reaches Earth, learns our languages and cultures, and announces its purpose: not to conquer humanity, but to convert it. Like a traditional missionary, it offers charity alongside its message, but its gifts include cures for diseases, clean energy, and technologies centuries beyond our own. As humanity struggles with whether such generosity amounts to persuasion or coercion, an even more disturbing question emerges: what if the alien missionary can actually provide evidence that its religion is true?

I forgot all about the "newsgaming" concept. The idea was that a quick casual game could be produced to facilitate understanding (or persuasion) around a current news item. The problem, of course, was even a casual game takes long enough to develop that the topic would be "old news" by the time the game was ready. With rapid-prototyping AI tools lowering the development timeline, we might see a resurgence of these fast-turnaround games. As a rhetorician, I'm curious if AI can assist with designing procedural rhetoric, or if the lack of intentional human authorship undermines the persuasive mechanic.
