Hey in case anyone's waffling here. Keep Mike Rogers far, far away from the US Senate.

He is, of course, right here. An entire generation of moviegoers have been trained on the idea a movie only matters if it sets up other movies and that is sad.

North Carolina!! If you voted by mail, go to vote.org/ballot-tracker-tool… to track whether your ballot was rejected over minor technical issues. If it was, you can still vote in person!
🚨BREAKING: Thousands of North Carolina midterm ballots are set to be rejected over minor technical issues after a federal court upheld strict new Republican-backed rules for mail voters, according to data shared exclusively with Democracy Docket. democracydocket.com/news-ale…
Survivor really shit the bed this week reverting to the three tribe format after three riveting episodes with two big tribes.
It’s crazy how much more uninterested I am in a five person tribal council than in an eleven person tribal council….

A *lie* about Talarico spending 10 days in a mental hospital is getting more media coverage than a *true story* about Paxton partying in Dubai with his mistress and a couple of white collar criminals. YOUR MAINSTREAM MEDIA, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! 🙄

Sadly, these two might be among the last studio executives in positions of real power at one of Hollywood’s biggest studios willing to champion original ideas from filmmakers, whether it was Sinners, Weapons, One Battle After Another, or The End of Oak Street. Sure, it may have been miss after miss for WB this year, but that doesn’t change the fact that they were still taking swings on original, filmmaker-driven projects in an industry increasingly obsessed with established IP, even if they had to struggle on that front
Highly doubt we will ever get to see those type of movies like that again from Paramount. They weren't even part of the bidding war when Zach Cregger held an auction for Weapons 🤷

Primetime was far from what I expected it to be but Pattinson’s swinging-for-the-fences performance brings the whole complicated thing together in a deliciously dark way.

Growing up, a hit song crossed demographics whether the genre was your favorite or not. People who don’t primarily listen to country still know Dolly, Shania, Carrie, The Chicks, etc. because they made actual hit records that crossed over. If a song can spend 23 weeks at #1, breaking records that stood for 20+ years, while a huge portion of the public is sincerely saying they’ve never heard it, maybe the conversation isn’t “people hate country.” Maybe @RollingStone should be writing about how streaming-era chart dominance no longer equals cultural dominance because there’s some trickery at play. That’s the real story being avoided. Don’t gaslight us.

Proclaiming you're unfamiliar with Ella Langley's record-setting song has a lot in common with saying "I listen to anything but country."
