Take your job seriously. The current job market is brutal. Do your job and think of more ways to improve the company. Think of ways to increase revenue and add value to the business. Bring up ideas that can help the company succeed and negotiate your salary if
you know for a 100% that idea would help the company scale up.
Don’t joke with your source of income. People are getting replaced. Salaries are being reduced and people are getting laid off. Start adding creativity to your work. Stack up more skills and learn more strategies

I’ve had friends who tried to guilt-trip me because I wasn’t always available to chat or respond to their messages.
But I’ve come to realise that being a good friend doesn’t mean being available 24/7. We can genuinely care about each other without talking every single day.
It doesn’t mean we’re fighting. It doesn’t mean I dislike you. Sometimes, I just want to go about my day without having to keep up with conversations.
We can be good friends without talking 24/7.

No disrespect to 9-to-5 jobs. I believe there are companies that pay their employees well. But in Nigeria, I would really love to see the statistics on how many companies pay their employees over a million naira monthly.
