I am deeply honored and proud to have delivered two oral presentations at AHA 2025, sharing our work with international leaders in cardiovascular medicine and contributing to the growing body of evidence that informs clinical practice and improves patient care. I am also grateful to have presented posters and participated in a moderated session, where the conversations with peers and faculty were both engaging and thought-provoking, further fueling my excitement for the future of our work in cardiology. #AHA2025 also gave me the opportunity to meet new collaborators, reconnect with former colleagues and mentors, and I am truly excited about the future as I build on these relationships. I am especially grateful to my program @ImWvu, and Mentors @Lakshmi14524052 @harshi_md for their continuous support. #AHA25 #cardiotwitter #Cardiology – at New Orleans, LA

Genomic sequencing shows that the Ebola virus from Nigeria’s recently reported only imported case is highly similar to that from Kenya’s @MOH_Kenya reported first imported case, differing by only one mutation. My thanks to the sequencing teams at @NCDCgov and the Institute of Genomics and Global Health @RedeemersUni , Ede, and to @christian_happi for this excellent work. We are forging ahead with public health control measures while awaiting results of further investigations and testing. Our approach is that of solidarity and global cooperation, appreciating the role our sister African nations, @AfricaCDC, Technical partners and experts @WHO, @DrTedros, @Dr_JeanKaseya, Prof. Aliko Ahmed @alikothe3rd, @Fmohnigeria as well key International partners especially The Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) @StateDept. We are determined to do our best to protect the lives and livelihoods of our people and we urge all Nigerians and our partners to work together with us. By the grace of we shall succeed and rise above this public health emergency as we did in 2014.

EBOLA: STAY INFORMED. STAY SAFE. Following the confirmation of an Ebola disease case in the FCT, the Federal Government, through the NCDC and relevant health authorities, is strengthening surveillance and response efforts. Ebola spreads through direct contact with the blood or body fluids of an infected person who is sick or has died, or through contaminated materials. Please remain calm and rely on verified information. Early reporting saves lives! πŸ“ž To report a suspected case, call the NCDC 24/7 toll-free line: 6232 #Ebola #publichealth #NigeriaCDC

πŸ“–Among patients with #afib & #chronickidneydisease, this real-world analysis showed #LAAO was associated with decreased all-cause mortality compared to direct oral #anticoagulants, however there was no improvement in intermediate outcomes.
