codex resets are so bad, since they also reset your weekly schedule. Never had that with Claude Code, but i was always able to manage my weekly quota.
Yes but this isn't true right now. It's just not possible to set up an API or any other Agent friendly access protocol for all platforms. I actually really like how codex handles computer use!
Long time perspective I fully agree with your view.
I might be wrong, but I am not bullish on computer use.
The models are insanely smart. But we are forcing them to watch a screen, find a button, click it, wait, and check the result. All through an interface designed for humans.
The token economics and speed are just not good.
Computer use still makes sense for legacy software with no API or agent interface. Sometimes there is no other option.
But for any sort of modern software, I think we should give agents something they can use directly: structured data, APIs, terminals, SSH, and permissioned access to the environment.
Agents can read thousands of lines of logs and parameters easily. Why make them click through Chrome?

Actually working with Codex Astra is amazing. It does not answer like claude and keeps it short and understandable. Pretty refreshing
codex 20x purchased. Claude Max 20x cancelled. We will see. I got two banked resetes which will be good.
Astra 6 light should be a good daily driver and usage should be enough for that.
