NEW ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE BLOG POST~! It's the season of big ass lists, so I did a project ranking wrestlers in my sleaze j-indie sphere that would never get talked about for GWE. Get ready to learn about The Great Unknown. Enter the GAZE project. dragonscrewblog.blogspot.com…

not usually one to comment on this kinda stuff but for some candidates it's almost offensive that they aren't already in, and others probably shouldn't even be on the ballot, but i have a feeling the latter have a stronger chance of getting in than the former
Japan candidates for this year's Hall of Fame ballot are Kojima & Tenzan, Fujiwara, Hayabusa, KENTA, Mochizuki, Inoki & Sakaguhi, Kyoko Inoue, Tam Nakano, Sabre Jr., Sasuke, Satomura, Io Shirai, Tiger Jeet Singh,Takayama and Toyota & Yamada

really this is not the discourse for me to engage in because the way the WON HOF works just doesn't compute with my brain - kazushi sakuraba was inducted in 2004 and i don't think people were voting him in for his KINGDOM main event push. not my circus not my monkeys

people enjoying the karl greco-malenko resurgence - make sure to check out this awesome match between him and MUGAist Kazuhiko Masada (MAZADA) from the elusive TSUBO PRO group

it breaks my heart that we only have two Tsubo Pro shows because the cards are ludicrous, but i will forever appreciate Hasegawa for getting us footage of Ni Hao vs. Tsunehito Naito

one of my favorite matches from my IWE watch project last year/2years ago. i believe it landed at #2 when i did my list ranking all the matches i had covered on the blog
i watched nick bockwinkel vs kintaro oki specifically to see bock sell oki's headbutts. they make you wait 20 minutes (which may as well be a lifetime compared to how oki usually works) but the big man makes sure it's worth the wait

oiwa slots into as maeda, simmering rage bad boy top guy, maybe more the maeda that was beating up dutch mantell but that maeda rocks najima fits as the takada, upstart with infinite potential and a real mean streak watanabe sorta works as the sayama/mach hayato type 1/2

super physically gifted worker capable of both fast juniors spots and shoot style, would end up as a nice oiwa rival down the line genkai takes the fujiwara slot as a veteran craftsman, can play all roles but totally up for beating the tar outta someone

and then mochihira fills the general role of the cool fired up rookies like nakano and yamazaki and whatever else, idk i just think he can hit hard and has a bright future and would be a strong pick for a rookie to raise in this scenario

the obvious route here is full shooty but in my head im seeing 84 UWF with gran hamada and rusher kimura undercards and trying to build something like that seems more fun Ryohei Oiwa (ace) Ali Najima Soma Watanabe Genkai Kakumi Mochihira
If you could start a company like UWF today ('84 version), who would you pick as your Ace and what other 4 wrestlers would you use to round out your company?
