The @maynard_lab lab and mine @GT_CHEM are trying to improve Abs used in trabecular meshwork #glaucoma research funded by @NatEyeInstitute - our well-characterized recombinant myocilin antibodies were recently licensed to @AbsoluteBiotech
In 2015, an article in @nature estimated that 800,000,000 USD is wasted annually on nonspecific antibodies.
It also suggested standardization, which has not happened. I wonder how much we will spend in 2023 on low specificity antibodies.
