Best part of this Friday, a first grader from last year coming to read to this year’s first graders❤️📚
We learned the true meaning of the holidays with ‘The Longest Christmas List Ever’ and then had some giggles with ‘If You Take a Mouse to the Movies’. Only five more school days till break🎄
We loved ‘The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever’ by Steven Kroll today! We learned about the awesome things we can do when we work together…like finding and decorating the biggest Christmas tree ever! 🎄
Day 3 and 4 of the Holiday Read Aloud Countdown! We loved ‘Mixed’ and ‘Dandy’! Definitely some new favorite books here❤️📚
Ms. Lewis’ 3rd annual Holiday Read Aloud Countdown is on! We loved reading ‘How to Catch an Elf’ and ‘Dragons Love Tacos’ for some fun and giggles🎄❤️📚
Happy Veteran’s Day from Ms.Lewis’ firsties! Thank you to all of those who are serving or have served in our armed forces🇺🇸❤️
Happy Dot Day! Be brave, be creative, be YOU! @peterhreynolds #dotday2021
Social-distanced scoots to practice telling time anyone?! Any chance to get up and move, we will take! 🤩⏰
After we brainstormed some awesome ideas for “how to” writing, we took some time by the fireplace to turn our ideas into fabulous writing pieces last week! Super proud of my firsties!🔥📝
Ms. Lewis’ first grade Holiday Read Aloud Countdown is still happening this year! Counting down the days from Thanksgiving to winter break with some of our new favorite books! 🎄📚❤️
I’m a little behind on posting this, but first grade scientists loved getting a chance to step away from Zoom and get outside to observe the sun and discover it’s pattern as it moves across the sky! ☀️🤓
What better way to start day two of learning than with a check in, book recommendations, and discussing the love for reading?! #wcpsmdlearns @PangbornES 📚
And with that last Zoom meeting, my first year of teaching has come to an end. It has been a rollercoaster of a year to say the least, but I have learned so much and become a stronger teacher because of it. We had a blast learning together. Those kiddos have my heart forever❤️📚
After finishing a virtual assessment, this first grader asked if she could read a book to me. How could I say no? #readersareleaders ❤️📚
