I present the “Invasive Gender Check Exam.”
The trans sports ban would require ALL girls participating in sports to get an invasive gender check exam.
This is a ballot measure in Washington state.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Washington measure requires a provider's signed statement verifying biological sex (via reproductive anatomy, genetics or testosterone levels) as part of routine sports physicals for female-designated sports. It does not mandate invasive exams.

Healey isn’t talking to the nation. He’s talking to their back benchers. They’re as terrified of them as Starmer was, probably more so. They won’t tackle the welfare budget.

Listen and make up your own minds but seems pretty clear cut to me that Healey promised cuts to the benefits bill before the election - something they’re now seemingly rowing back from:
BBC: “There will be cuts in welfare before the election?”
CX: “There will be. There will be a reduction in the benefits bill. We’ll do that in a Labour way”.

The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls.
We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online.

"I don't understand the term "biological men."
My God, how long will Australians put up with this?

The brass neck of grandstanding as a champion of women and girls when you did NOTHING until the Supreme Court judgement forced your hand. You weren’t leading, you were dragged kicking and screaming by the law. Don’t mistake compliance for conviction.

This is astounding. The government's own figures show working-age welfare will go up by £60 BILLION by 2030, yet the Treasury has to rush out and correct the Chancellor to say there is no timetable for cutting the benefits bill. Looks like foot in mouth syndrome is spreading.
John Healey couldn't even find £10 billion to get defence spending to 3% of GDP - the thing he quit over.
Don't let anyone tell you this was a 'do no harm budget'. In doing so little, Labour have harmed our economic security and they've harmed our national security.

Britain doesn’t need to go back to the divisions of Brexit.
We need to get on with fixing the problems facing our country: cutting the welfare bill, funding our defence and growing our economy.

Kemi absolutely puts the boot into Labour’s appalling budget.
Look at Labour’s front bench…..they are squirming.

🔥🍿 Kemi Badenoch finishes her Budget response with a clear message.
“Cut spending, cut the deficit, fund defence, cut people's taxes.”
Four priorities, delivered in one sentence.
After a Budget packed with new funds, schemes, reviews and spending commitments, Badenoch has drawn a sharp dividing line between Labour's approach and the Conservative alternative.
Her argument is that Britain cannot keep increasing expenditure without confronting borrowing, debt interest and the pressures on taxpayers.
And she ended by setting out what she sees as the choice at the next general election: Labour's programme of public spending and investment against Conservative proposals for spending restraint, deficit reduction and tax cuts.
🎪 The speeches are over. The slogans have been delivered. Conservatives won.

*This Budget does not come close to meeting the moment. It barely mentions the countryside, offers pennies off gherkins and boiled sweets for food security (?!?) and doubles down on the Family Farm & Family Business Taxes that are crippling investment in rural businesses.
And on fertiliser, your left hand doesn’t know what the far-left hand is doing: two weeks ago, the Chancellor and Labour MPs brought in a brand-new tax on fertiliser!
This confused approach to rocketing business costs faced by farmers and rural businesses helps to explain why families are finding their food shopping ever more expensive.
Not good enough, not strong enough and not bold enough.
