Flutter is a 3D engine now. 99 seconds from my Flutter & Friends talk.
Everything in the cut is rendered by Flutter on the stable channel, on Impeller and Flutter GPU. No platform views, no native textures piped in from another engine, no custom fork. The engine is Flutter Scene, a complete 3D game engine for Flutter.
Complete means graphics, physics, audio, networking, an editor, and tools for AI coding agents, in one open source project. It runs on macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, web, and custom embedders. It scales down to a single model in a widget and up to full games, and dozens of contributors have landed work in it this year.
A scene is a widget. Put it in a Column, stack UI over it, or draw it transparent over the UI so physics objects cast shadows on your buttons. And hot reload works on the scene itself. Change a light or a material in Dart and it updates in place.
The full talk covers materials, lighting, the editor, and agent skills. Link in the reply. :)

It's sad to see how much harassment this developer gets.
Like people think you just put in a prompt and that's it. No, you still need to put time, effort, ideas, and creativity into creating something like this. You still need to test, debug and refine so that a game looks like this...
People want to gatekeep creations and creativity like this just because he didn't pay an artist to do the drawings. Which shows again: It's for them just all about the money and/or performative, not about what really went into a creation.
And what annoys me the most: We live in a time where we have so much indie dev game slop, which isn't even close to this one here... Can't tell how many Doom clones i've already seen and it was just boring. Just as an example. So i rather see stuff like this which is maybe even fully Ai created, but something creative made with care and fresh, rather than a new clone of something.
Thanks to Ai we'll now see more of this. People who maybe have a fresh idea but can't draw, fully program something themselves, or afford someone to do it for them, it doesn't matter. They can bring it to life like that now.
Give this dev some love, maybe wishlist his game and get it when you can afford it. Imo it looks pretty fun already and i'll defo give it a try.
I made a game where your teeth are your health bar.
Itβs called Tooth for Tooth.
Coming to Steam September 30.

SwiftUI isnβt native and hereβs why SwiftUI apps may sometimes feel janky. It ditches the key element that made animations run so smoothly on iOS since the original iPhone: Core Animation.
In SwiftUI animations run in-app without CA backing. Block the main thread: SwiftUI ball stalls while UIKitβs keeps moving on the render server.
