You walk out of a meeting, tell your phone what happened, and the entry is done. Laurel identifies the client, calculates the time, and drafts the narrative before you reach the subway. That was never possible on a phone. Mobile timekeeping meant a cramped timer and a keyboard too small to write a narrative on, so the work waited for the desktop. By Friday, half of it had faded. Today we relaunched Laurel Mobile as an AI-native offering. Describe your work out loud and Laurel turns it into a billable entry. Swipe captured work into your timesheet. Start, stop, and resume a timer from the lock screen. Review and release the full day from the back of an Uber. Getting credit for your work dies in the gap between doing the work and recording it. Laurel Mobile closes that gap at the moment the work happens. Less time disappears. Less work gets rebuilt. More of the record reflects what you actually did. The new @getlaurel plugin for @ChatGPT is awesome. I’m setting up a weekly report for myself.

The lawyers we work with have no shortage of ambition. Their tools haven't kept up. Today we're sharing the Laurel plugin for ChatGPT Enterprise. A lawyer can ask ChatGPT where their week went and find the work Laurel captured that never made it onto a timesheet, without logging into Laurel to go looking. It brings Laurel's record of work, captured at the source, together with ChatGPT's ability to question that record and act on it. What I did not anticipate is what lawyers would do next with it. Build a weekly readout. Build an agent that flags which matters are eating the week. The work record becomes something they can build on, not just something they review. Every lawyer has recorded less time than they worked. Until now there was no way to see the difference. Thanks to our team and everyone at OpenAI who helped get us here. Take a look: chatgpt.com/plugins

Yeah, but i can't really imagine myself enjoying a nice walk with friends through the lovely, rejuvenating environment of a data center...

I think anti-tech or "offline" experiences will trend strongly upward in the near future. Also very curious to see what the internet becomes when all content might be slop and there's no way to know.

Would love an invite code if you've got one :)

@dhh why do you write a blog? For you? For others? Advertising? Building the distribution network? All of the above? Why did you start? Would you advise others to write one in today’s world? Why?

@profgalloway You’re the man. How were your PRP injections? Worth it? I’m considering.

Do you enter the nutritional info manually? Or can you collect that data from an api somewhere?

Congrats! That's awesome man. My goal as well. I'm kinda just getting started though. I'm curious what your process is? How do you find the problems to solve and what's your research/validate/build process look like?

#productivity for productivity’s sake is worse than pointless. Be focused. Prioritize ruthlessly. The 80/20 is real in any important aspect of life. Real productivity doesn’t look like being busy. It looks like steady, efficient production of high value results.

My debugging process as a #webdev: 1. Review the ticket 2. Try to repro 3. “Oh wait, wtf is going on with this other thing??” …4 hours later “Ok guys I refactored our state management system. Hope that’s ok.” *opens PR* “Wait what was the ticket for?”

Any #developers out there have an effective PR review process or tool? Reviews in @github don't give me enough context and I'm too lazy to check out the branch locally.

#FrontEnd #developers, do you have a "technical grooming" process? What does it look like? And why is it red boxes around things in your @figma design?

The resurgence of #FunctionalProgramming is proof that old concepts can find new relevance with today's challenges. 🔄 #SoftwareDevelopment

Very inspiring. How did you find out that elevated cortisol levels were affecting your long term memory?

Would love to know more about your first few projects. Specifically: 1. How did you come up with ideas that you felt confident in? (That's the hardest part for me) 2. How did you validate the idea before building? Or did you validate at all?
