Some observations on the Championship so far this season, mainly from a Wolves perspective.
They’re absolutely missing a physical focal point - Lankshear, Priske, Larin, Moore, Dalby all proven as successful so far this season - Jimenez a huge miss.
Structurally I’m still not certain on the intent both in build-up and in the final third and the lack of a focal point is driving this.
Individual brilliance has helped in certain matches, whether that’s through physical dominance or on-the-ball dominance.
It still feels there needs to be more an identity in the way they play but this will come - Peixoto is showing very strong signs as far as I’m concerned.
A strong squad will always be the primary driver in this league and Wolves have that relative to most other clubs in the league.
As ever, January recruitment will need to be spot on for anybody looking for promotion.
He gets his critics, particularly on this platform, but Cesar deserves credit for that. Stayed positive when we drew level and the only time we were in trouble is when it was our mistakes.

If this is legit, we need a fan-wide movement against Hobbs’ continued presence at the club.
Hobbs is desperate to bring Rob Edwards in if we get rid of Sage.
That would be diabolical and we might as well accept relegation now if that were to happen.
Hobbs is a massive problem. Parish to blame too.
