Because we live in a completely disgusting and unjust world, half a million Palestinians in Gaza are about to lose monthly food assistance via the WFP due to a lack of funding, which makes Palestinian-run projects like this even more essential. Please please keep donating
Tomorrow, we will once again distribute meals to displaced people in Gaza.
The food will reach 150 of the poorest and most vulnerable families. Children deserve to have food to eat, just like children everywhere else in the world.
Your donations make a difference.
Please, contribute and help us make this possible: chuffed.org/project/172937-d…
short form content has ushered in a new era of dilettante. pseudo-intellectual dilettantians abound. shunted thoughts that can’t grow past a certain point because there is not enough knowledge to cultivate nascent ideas
think there is something interesting to be said about the new rick show being about stone, particularly about cast aside stones, and opening with very maternity/motherly looks

Those saying abstract art is “money laundering” or “CIA” don’t realize these anti-art talking points have been fed to them directly from government agencies. The mouthpieces of these “nonpartisan” misinformation podcasts are bought and sold for millions by the regime.

“Can you spot propaganda before it manipulates you?”
Why do movies like this even exist in 2026…?

great article about how the recent erasure of climate change from political messaging and media coverage is not an organic reaction to voters’ concerns, but a coordinated command from corporate think tanks:
I wrote a (long, maybe too long) case against climate hushing.
Much of it attempts to methodically rebut the hushers' (generally quite weak) arguments. But it also makes the affirmative case for why talking about climate is so critically important. In the midst of a heat wave that's already killed tens of thousands of people across Europe and India in the last week, I think it's worth a read.
"When white moderates complained in similar fashion about the civil rights movement, Martin Luther King criticized their 'mythical concept of time' in Why We Can’t Wait. We can’t wait when it comes to climate change, either. In the end, this is about whether we are able to maintain organized civilization on this planet. To push the line—now dominant across the corporatist wing of the Democratic Party—that we shouldn’t discuss climate change is not only morally wrong; it carries water for the fossil fuel industry and the forces that got us here in the first place."

having grown up on the internet and emerging technologies, we always felt like the computer was where we were safe. but recent developments have made it anything but. this betrayal has done a lot of damage to our psyche
acne having always been tech-adjacent and their current runways feeling like they lack a central vision. being quirky for the sake of being quirky. full circle moment as we see SF techbros grappling for “taste” in lukewarm attempts to be eccentric or interesting
classic movies made palatable in the form of minions which have always been vehicles of capitalism. people easily impressed by this and are similarly susceptible to being impressed by ai and more willing to engage in it
very little is impressive about regurgitating what has already been done. people dont want innovation, creativity, or love. they want acceptance and approval. imitating what has been proven to be successful
