If you're worried about missing content on Twitter due to moving to Mastodon/Fediverse, there are sites that will echo public tweets there. The one I use is:

You can setup a bot echo for any public Twitter account.
So X Luthor says he's planning on starting to charge all X users to make up for the fact he's destroyed their revenue with his antics.
I'm clearly *not* going to pay to keep this account if/when that bullshit starts. Mastodon/Fediverse is quite nice. See you there.

I finally ripped the bandage off and unfollowed (nearly) everyone on Twitter. Many people I interact with already established Fediverse accounts. For the rest I went nuts with bird.makeup/ so I can just see your Tweets there. And it really is so much better this way.
I'm not closing my account for a few reasons:
1. I still want to be able to see what my friends with private accounts share.
2. I can jump back here to comment as needed.
3. I don't want my username getting recycled.
4. Who knows, maybe something will change my mind someday.
Periodical reminder that, with rare exceptions, I'm no longer sharing anything new here. I'm doing that over on Mastodon/Fediverse now. It has been a much better experience and when I check in here and get flooded with shitty ads it just reinforces how much better it is there.
