Though I keep my weekly diary entries directed to my Lord privately secluded, I thought sharing just one of hundreds I’ve written (this one from two weeks ago) suffices right here, right now. May it bring you contentment as much peace as it brings me to write to my Beloved. 🤍

I was telling one of my co-workers (she's also my age & a clinical psych maj) how I made cheesecake a while back & she was asking me for the biscoff and banana recipe, & another co-worker came & said to her "she bakes?" and she told him "look at her, that's a trad wife's look" 😅

I fear one of my students is being over medicated at home, she’s asleep since she gets off the bus. I have to walk a sleeping child and she sleeps for 7 hours straight in class. I suspected physical abuse at home because she flinches hard when someone approaches her and neglect.

When I memorized Surah Yasin, one ayat stood out to me; I dwelled on its tafsir for a long time: “Glory be to Him Who created all the pairs,of what the earth produces, of themselves, & of that which they do not know.” as if what we don’t know is the very duality of human nature.

My co worker looked at me & started telling everyone “she’s a baby, only 22; she could date my 25 yr old son”, I looked at her like I just watched my standards get publicly insulted. Revulsion. I adore you but lady, my partnership floor is significantly more selective. Far more.

I need to understand why this got 200+ likes yet my thesis on the "Man Box" and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) last year got the LEAST likes but over 100 people coming at me for what I discussed. You people are something- Why...like Why me?!
