Gyokeres is always looking at the winger like this!!
Asking them why they don’t put the ball there!!!
Even the goals he scores, he has to battle with spirits to get a taste of a chance!

There IS two-tier officiating in the Premier League.
Remember Rice’s red v Brighton
Remember Trossard’s red at Man City
Remember Saliba’s red at Bournemouth
Remember Kovacic’s two red card challenges at The Etihad (Odegaard and Rice) and he stayed on the pitch?

🚨 BREAKING: Arsenal are appealing Max Dowman’s red card from last night.

Hands up. I was wrong.
This reaction from Max was NOT violent conduct. From the other 2 angles, at full pace, it looked a lot worse than it was - a kick in anger and a stamp on him. This angle, no chance. He’s kicking his leg off with insufficient force to be violent.
Reviewing the Max Dowman Red card this morning on @SkySportsNews
No chance a red card and “Violent Conduct”. Watch the incident up close you can see how minimal the movement of his foot is. A reaction yes, but no chance a violent one.

The tackles a red card, anybody who’s ever played football knows the Fleetwood player has tried to do him. Coward

🚨 BREAKING: MAX DOWMAN ISSUES PUBLIC APOLOGY TO ARSENAL FANS 💔
🗣️ Max Dowman:
“I want to sincerely apologise to my teammates, the manager, and every Arsenal fan around the world for what happened today.
Getting sent off against Fleetwood Town was never my intention. I let my emotions get the better of me, and I take full responsibility for my actions.
I know what this club means to millions of people, and I understand the disappointment I've caused.
I'm still young, and I have a lot to learn.
I promise to use this experience as motivation to become a better player and a better person.
I'm sorry, Gooners. I will repay your trust on the pitch. ❤️🤍

🚨 Arsenal returned to London shortly after midnight following their Carabao Cup exit, flying from Blackpool Airport to Luton Airport.
The decision allows the players to recover at home before returning to training and preparing for Sunday’s crucial trip to Liverpool, where Arsenal will be looking to secure their first Premier League win at Anfield since September 2012.

Anyone that has played football will know exactly what the defender is doing! It’s an unnecessarily over aggressive tackle. He’s locked into the sideline, and he’s tried to ‘put him in the stands’. Dowman is very lucky not to do his knee/ankle ligaments or even break his leg/ankle. I think the INTENT in that tackle does more damage to football and fellow footballers careers than the slightly emotional 16 year old reaction, where actually, the kid is ‘looking after himself’.
A chance for all to learn, Including the ref.

🚨 Gary Neville on Max Dowman’s red card against Fleetwood:
🗣️ “I have to be honest, I don’t think that’s a red card. The Fleetwood player went into that challenge dangerously, and it looked like he could have seriously injured the boy. Dowman reacted and kicked out slightly, which obviously wasn’t the right thing to do, but for me, that’s a yellow card at most.
The referee was far too harsh. We’ve seen similar situations before. Cole Palmer did something similar to Matheus Fernandes against Tottenham and received a yellow card. So why is this one being treated differently?
You have to consider the entire situation, not just Dowman’s reaction. He’s a young player, and while he needs to learn how to handle these moments, I don’t believe that incident deserved a straight red card.
If Arsenal appeal the decision, I genuinely think they have a strong chance of winning. In my opinion, the red card should be overturned, and Dowman shouldn’t have to serve a suspension for it.”

Dermot Gallagher on Sky saying Dowman deserved a red card and that his actions were more aggressive than Cole Palmer at the weekend. Absolute nonsense, do these broadcasters think we’re all blind and thick?
