I strongly condemn the horrific attack in Kraków. I extend my heartfelt condolences to my counterpart, DPM & FM @sikorskiradek, and to the people of Poland.
Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones. We wish all those injured a swift and full recovery.

Kosova and Switzerland share a special friendship, rooted in the enduring bonds our diaspora has forged between our peoples.
In this spirit, today I welcomed to Kosova for a friendly meeting my colleague and counterpart, 🇨🇭Federal Councillor and FM @ignaziocassis.
Our discussions focused on 🇽🇰’s EU integration and ways to deepen 🇽🇰🇨🇭 economic cooperation, building on the close ties our diaspora has established between our societies.
Together, we also inaugurated the Swiss Embassy’s new premises in Kosova, a further symbol of our deep bond and shared commitment to strengthening it.
Many thanks to @SwissMFA for its longstanding friendship and support. We look forward to continuing our work together to create greater opportunities for our citizens.

Pleased to meet Kosovo’s Foreign Minister @KonjufcaGlauk for a substantive exchange.
We discussed opportunities to strengthen 🇨🇭🇽🇰 economic ties through the new EFTA agreement. We also exchanged views on our respective relations with the EU and current geopolitical challenges.
I was also honoured to welcome him to the inauguration of our Embassy’s new premises in #Pristina.

#OSCE26CH | Just arrived in #Pristina and delighted to be welcomed by President Justina Shiroka Pula and to meet Prime Minister @albinkurti.
We talked about our close ties, the regional challenges and the Swiss OSCE Chairpersonship.
We attach great importance to OSCE field operations across the Western Balkans. Stability and prosperity in the region are key.

A pleasure to welcome Swiss Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis (@ignaziocassis) to Kosova, both in his capacity as Switzerland’s Foreign Minister and as Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE.
We discussed the close ties between our two countries, which are due in large part to our substantial, dynamic, and successful diaspora in Switzerland. With the EFTA agreement in place since October, our relationship has gained an increasingly important economic dimension, with strong and expanding trade in services, alongside growing trade in goods.
We look forward to continuing our cooperation with Switzerland across a wide range of areas and greatly value our close partnership.

My first meeting in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro, on the margins of the Berlin Process Summit, was with Commissioner @MartaKosEU.
With fully functional institutions, Kosova will accelerate its reforms. Last week we adopted the final law needed to join SEPA, which will save our citizens, businesses and diaspora some €58 million a year, and negotiations will soon begin for us to join the EU's Roam Like at Home zone, with no extra charges.
Our democratic progress, commitment to shared values and alignment with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy must be reflected in concrete steps. We count on the Commission's continued and visible support for candidate status and the opening of accession negotiations.
In the Berlin Process, Kosova has ratified every agreement, while Serbia is blocking the one on the recognition of diplomas. On freedom of movement, Kosova acted first: since 1 January 2025, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can enter Kosova with their ID cards, but this has not yet been reciprocated.

Serbia’s renewed territorial ambitions against the Republic of Kosova were laid bare once again this week when its Deputy PM, Ivica Dacic, declared at an election rally that the Serbian flag would “sooner or later fly over Prizren”, a city in southern Kosova. Such rhetoric reveals that Belgrade’s territorial ambitions are far from a thing of the past.
Just two days later, Milan Radoicic, wanted by Interpol over the Banjska terrorist attack he organized, appeared alongside Danilo Vucic at Aleksandar Vucic’s party rally in Kragujevac, where Vucic once again threatened the independence of the Republic of Kosova.
These are not isolated provocations. They expose the continuity of a dangerous political doctrine: territorial expansionism in rhetoric, and impunity for armed aggression in practice.
Serbia cannot claim to pursue peace and European integration while its senior officials openly challenge the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosova and the admitted organizer of the deadly Banjska terrorist attack remains at liberty, appearing publicly alongside the president’s family instead of facing justice.
The international community must unequivocally condemn these actions and demand accountability. The sovereignty of the Republic of Kosova is not negotiable, and neither is justice for the Banjska terrorist attack.

Today, we in Kosova think of Germany with particular gratitude. Germany stood by us at decisive moments, and it is a friendship that holds great meaning for us.
Our countries share more than a close political partnership: shared values, mutual trust, and the conviction that our future lies in a free and united Europe.
German reunification reminds us that freedom and democracy can overcome borders and shape history.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Tag der Deutschen Einheit!

On October 1st, the 🇽🇰–EFTA, FTA enters into force. 🇽🇰🇨🇭🇮🇸🇱🇮🇳🇴
With the 🇨🇭 Ambassador to 🇽🇰 and the DG of 🇽🇰 Customs, we presented what this agreement means in practice: more exports, new partnerships and more 🇽🇰 products reaching EFTA markets. A new chapter for Kosova’s economy.

Welcome back to Prishtina, @vonderleyen. Six visits in six years, and through every challenge you never missed one. Thank you!
Since we first met, Kosova has delivered steady progress. Independent evaluators confirm our gains in democracy, rule of law, security and the fight against corruption. The Commission's own reports show no backsliding in any policy area. We are fully aligned with EU foreign policy, including every sanction against Russia, and we uphold the values of Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union.
By every measure, Kosova is freer, fairer, safer, more just and more prosperous than when we first met.
In December it will be four years since Kosova applied for EU membership. It is long overdue for the EU to deliver.

It was an honor to meet President of the United States @realDonaldTrump for the first time during #UNGA81 High-Level Week. I thanked President Trump for his successful push for increased defense spending among the member states of NATO, which Kosova should join as well. The United States is a chief ally, indispensable partner, and special friend of the Republic of Kosova. 🇽🇰🤝🇺🇸

I strongly condemn the horrific attack aboard the flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv. The courage of the captain, crew and passengers prevented what could have been a devastating tragedy.
Violence against civilians and civil aviation must always meet unequivocal condemnation.

At today’s joint SEECP–CEI Working Lunch, I thanked 🇷🇴 FM @oana_toiu for convening an important discussion on the future of regional cooperation.
As we mark three years since the terrorist attack in Banjska, in which Kosova Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed, I stressed that cooperation must be based on trust, equality and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is particularly important as our region and Europe face increasing hybrid threats and geopolitical pressures.
For the Republic of Kosova, regional cooperation should complement, never substitute, our shared European aspiration, while delivering concrete results through connectivity, trade, energy, digital cooperation, mobility and resilience.
Ultimately, these formats should be judged by what they deliver for our citizens. Our young people want opportunities, mobility and prosperity, and our responsibility is to create those opportunities here, in our region.
