Wonderful talk by @inksplattery on her process (thumbnails), creating coma & other work. Amazing drawings & so much thought & care in all of it! #GraphMed2024 (plus heart connection on her attention to accuracy “someone knows if I got it wrong” - hear hear, this drives me too…)
Audio isn’t working on the livestream? I’m seeing a silent presentation. #GraphMed2024

Here’s the whole slide with additional quote from me referring to my redrawing of this Paleolithic lunar calendar - observing events in time and graphically noting them in spatial sequence is a fundamental human thing - and an essential literacy, that is comics… #GraphMed2024
"The passage of time is written in space.... comics are weird about time..."
The ability to play with time like this, and in really wild ways, is one of the biggest affordances of comics.

Repost: ‘Tis the season-again-for #RSV
Thought I’d present a visual course of how the illness unfolds in younger kids. For adults and big kids? It means a bad head cold.

just a friendly reminder that if you want small, independent businesses to survive, you have to shop there once in a while. you can't just backsource everything you find there and try to find a cheaper price online. or if you do, don't performatively lament when they shutter.
