A few weeks ago I stepped up and became CEO at Yuga.
I joined BAYC in June 2021. Anyone who was around back then will never forget that ride:
Doggo airdrop, mutant mint, casino night, and the first Apefest - it was a slingshot out of the pandemic and into a new frontier.
Over the past year I’ve been sharpening the focus on Otherside. As CEO, my goal is to extend that discipline across all of Yuga.
BAYC is the best club on the internet. The Club needs to be part of your world, not just your timeline. We’ll be doing way more stuff together as a club - meetups, moments, access, apparel. I see all of this guided by three pillars: IRL, Storytelling, and Style.
While I’m handling operations, I’m excited that Garga will be freed up to be going deeper on the BAYC creative and world-building he’s always been best at.
With Otherside, we’re developing a world class social platform for digital ownership and crypto. People will explore Otherdeeds, compete for resources, and build their own experiences. To win, we’re going to need to grow our user base a lot, and prove how every community can succeed in Otherside.
We’ve made a lot of progress over the last few weeks and I’m stoked to show you, there’s a lot more ahead.

Mudwater FOR APECHAIN.
You say yes.
The 1st wave of Mudwater packs for ApeChain is allocated to 50+ NFT communities. Founder outreach is underway.
We considered $APE volume, community activity, and ecosystem contributions, w/ bonus packs for creative distribution mechanisms.

NFT Supercycle (real)
While everyone's distracted by the noise, some of the biggest NFT moves are happening right under our noses.
Last week, @BoredApeYC took over the TL for ApeFest, bringing its community together with names like @beepleand and @AdamWeitsman.
A massive showing for one of the most iconic NFT communities.
We'll be diving into the momentum leading up to ApeFest across Asia, alongside the major announcements, releases, and highlights from the event.
Plenty is happening in NFTs worth paying attention to.
in an era where a cesspool of newly minted bundle rugs are ready to dump on any newcomers to the space
plumbers and broccoli heads pray to satoshi for some divinely authored fair launch coins with immaculate distribution
it’s not unique to crypto
TCGs suffer a similar challenge
Costco fights and FedEx heists settle the distribution for the most aura-packed ink on cardboard (blessed the finest provenance)
so
we tried smthn diff and stealth launched
and gave 71% of the total Mudwater supply to the community for free
the spirit of early bayc
box allocation distribution was designed like a token drop
and soon, the limited allocations set aside for other communities will amplify Mudwater further
ask around and you’ll find Mudwater being talked about by leadership at collectible card companies
our inboxes are full of folks asking how they can buy boxes and cases
the thing is
we did a Fair Launch TCG
(might as well put a ™ after that)
and because of the apecoin:native reflection, holders are more aligned with the success of the project too
so if you want to stack size
you’ll have to acquire it one pack at a time from the apes who have it
good luck
bored ape yacht club
yeah this was a great idea from @dim8765
additionally, we’ve also just updated the binder view so you can sort by tribe
you might have noticed 16 different tribe icons in the top of each card - now you can easily sort through them in your collection
more soon

ApeFest in Otherside is what happens when you give some of the most engaged community members a sneak peek, the right tools, and let them cook.
In about a week they built:
🏟️ a dome to host our stream complete with gallery walls and photo booth
🥊 an octagon nodding to the Armored MMA fight in-world
🃏 a playable Mudwater demo that dropped live with the IRL reveal
AND a bonus flying 🚗 that became relevant news just 2 days before the fest
Huge thanks @OtherGamesXYZ @Escapation @kopirax_blog @AbsoluteCinny @dinopawnz & many more for going above and beyond for this one 🫶
This weekend was a movie inside a movie.
Thanks to everyone who pulled up to catch ApeFest live in Otherside.
Huge thanks to @OtherGamesXYZ and @Escapation for building experiences that took ApeFest in Otherside to another level and @kopirax_blog for capturing the magic.

I know it sounds cliche but IRL really is the alpha.
Mudwater was stressful ngl. There was a lot to get into place right up until the last minute but we fucking did it and I'm so proud of the team and the work we put in.
clubhouse and anime are still coming btw, I know people wanted announcements or a keynote or whatever but sometimes the timing doesn't line up with apefest. That doesn't mean Yuga forgot or abandoned those plans.
Sometimes it's just about getting everybody together and having a good time.
I love that shit. Every year, seeing old friends and making new ones. Finally putting faces to names.
This club is special. I say it every year but we are in such a unique position to have connections all over the world that share this common interest.
If you're an ape, you have a friend in every city on earth. One in every hobby and every industry. It's hard to describe how unique and special our weird little group of internet jpeg collectors is.
I don't really know what the point of this post is other than to say I'm so thankful for the club and for everybody I met and didn't get to meet this weekend. So many people I wish I could've spent some time with, or more time with. Just know you're all always welcome in my part of the world. If you need a couch, or dinner recs, or a good cup of coffee, let's fucking do it. we don't need to wait for apefest every year.
I give my everything to this space because it's given everything to me. Y'all will always be family.
Bored Apes Forever.

every night leading up to apefest, beeple stayed super late, way past the point when everyone else left, so he could create more surprises and refine shit that maximized the impact of apefest for apes
whether it was robots, sculptures, prints, graphics, or logistics - he’d leave at 3am and be back in at 9am to keep pushing
over the last 20 years I’ve worked with some of the best artists in the world, but there’s no else like beeple
we were fortunate to be hosted, and have our ape world lensed by him
thank you beeps 🦍🦍🦍
