We must step up to protect our environment. I was proud to stand with @ProtectAquifer and @MemphisCAP_org in that fight. There's more to do, and we need your help. Vote early until tomorrow, July 30th at 4pm, or on Election Day, August 4th!
This is a historic long-term investment in our people, environment, and future. Thank you for the advocacy from @MICAH_901 and others. Proud to support it.
Thank you to @MayorMemphis @MEM_Council @MayorLeeHarris and the Shelby County Board of Commissioners for their dedicated investment in sustainable mobility. #ThankYou #publictransportation #Go901
Thank you for your work in our community! @clcmemphis
We and our CREA partners are building the social supports and protections that prevent elder abuse throughout Shelby County. We would like to thank Commissioner @mgwhaley for his leadership, ensuring that our Elder Law work received funding from the County Commission for 2022-23!
Wonderful dedication today for the Memphis Suffrage Monument, honoring the local trailblazers who fought for the right to vote for women and ratification of the 19th Amendment. Thank you, Paula Casey, for your leadership to make this happen!
Like many people, we're still without power in our house and neighborhood. Please continue to check on your neighbors and loved ones.
Reminder: Respite Centers are open in areas affected by power outages in mid-west and mid-south Tennessee to provide hospitality, a place to get warm, charge your phone or other devices, information and snacks. Details and locations: rdcrss.org/3utkMhe

Had the privilege to support several great community organizations this weekend! @westcancerfdn with Commissioner @tamisawyer and @MemphisHumane in support of their low cost clinic to make animal care more affordable to all. Thankful for your work!!
So happy to sponsor this and support @MemphisHumane! They've done tremendous work, especially throughout the pandemic.
❤️ our four-legged friends!
HELPING OUR FURRY FRIENDS: @MemphisHumane has seen a big increase in animals needing help & care since the pandemic. Today @MayorLeeHarris & county commissioners presented the nonprofit w/ARPA funds to continue their essential work. How the money will help at 6 on @3onyourside
Memphis & Shelby County win with great advocates like you!
Thank you to the 10 @ShelbyCoTN Commissioners that passed the final reading setting back crude oil pipelines 1,500ft from schools, parks, churches and homes! Solid WIN for the Aquifer and #Memphis

Today our county commission can pass a 1,500 foot crude oil pipeline setback. This fight has always been about more than the Byhalia Connection Pipeline. It has been about protecting excluded people & our water. Thanks for your support today, Commissioner @mgwhaley!

Today, Shelby County Commissioners can pass the 1,500 foot setback for its final reading. This community-crafted legislation with inputs from People, Government, and business is good to go and the necessary protection for Memphis. @mickwright @GermantownMarkB @mgwhaley

These numbers are alarming & disheartening. Please wear a mask. Get vaccinated. Stop debating well known scientific facts. This is not going away unless people start doing their part. It’s hard for me to have patience with folks who still debate masks & whether COVID is serious.
Let’s do everything we can to protect our water, our environment, and our communities @ProtectAquifer
No truce on truth. No pause on justice. Thanks @MayorLeeHarris @tamisawyer @turnervan357 @mgwhaley @ReginaldMilton6 for passing the first reading of the ordinance. No Commisioner voted against this and we look forward to getting to more yeses next vote.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!! First off, teachers do the real work all year long, but enjoyed sponsoring a Bryant's biscuit fest this morning for the team at Kingsbury High. Thank you to Commish @tamisawyer and Friends of Gaisman Park for co-sponsoring! @SCSK12Unified
