My thoughts on Washington's 38-26 win over Purdue: ☔️ THAT looked like a completely different offense. 🏈 ELIJAH BROWN: Yes, the 3 INTs are a problem. You can't turn the ball over like that against the better teams left on this schedule. But everything else? Brown looked decisive, confident and in command. He pushed the ball downfield, got the playmakers involved and helped produce the most balanced UW offense we've seen all season. For me, Elijah Brown is QB1 going forward. 🏃 THE RUN GAME: FINALLY. Bonner and Cooley ran with purpose, the OL looked more physical and Washington finally had the balance Jedd Fisch has been looking for. Cooley's 53-yard TD was HUGE. Hopefully his injury isn't serious. 🔥 THE PLAYMAKERS: Chris Lawson and Dezmen Roebuck were making plays ALL NIGHT. Roebuck Mossing a Purdue DB for a TD was ridiculous. 🛡️ DEFENSE: Bend but don't break. Still too many breakdowns in coverage and some undisciplined football, but they got better as the game went on. ZRS and Lane getting home. Deuce Davis with the strip sack. Jeron Jones with a HUGE INT. RDA with another pick to shut the door. 🚨 THE BAD: FIVE TURNOVERS. Three Brown INTs, the muffed punt and the Cooley fumble. You aren't beating the better teams in the Big Ten giving the ball away five times. But after what we watched against Iowa, I'll take this. Washington is 4-3 instead of 3-4, and that matters. Now you've got the bye and 16 days before Nebraska. Give Brown the QB1 reps, clean up the turnovers, get healthy and build on what we saw offensively tonight. And I'm gonna say it… If we're committed to Elijah at QB, I'd seriously explore finding ways to use Demond Williams as a weapon in the run game. 👀 For tonight, though? This defense is leaving alot to be desired in the clutch moment. It's like when we need a stop they get beat....

We should play Demond at Tailback with throwing options on sum plays. One thing that's undeniable is he's explosive with the ball in his hand. Let's use him as a weapon while Elijah Brown gets used to steering the ship.as QB1

This team while still doing A lot of the frustrating things they've been doing. Look Head and shoulders better than they have under Demond Williams. I think we got to roll with Elijah Brown for a while.
