This is a must read. And after watching the Refs steal an interception from the Commanders and hand a score to the Giants, I am more convinced than ever that the NFL has slipped from competition to “entertainment”. - using “bad calls” to keep games close and unpredictable.

Go back and watch the end of the Commanders Saints game. The game clock stops at 9 seconds for 3 seconds. That allowed the final touchdown. Didn’t change the outcome but changed point differential. I can’t think of any good reason that would happen. #fixed

Still hard to believe we are planning to trade him. Harper - generational talent, 2x MVP. Walked. Turner - MVP candidate, All Star. Traded. Rendon - MVP candidate. All Star. Walked in FA. Now Soto - even better generational talent - likely to be traded. Hard to fathom!
I hope this is correct. $440m is a great offer. But paid over 15 yrs isn't going to get it done. I expect to see a final offer in the neighborhood of $35-$37 mil/year - i.e. $440 (fish) over 12 years. Or $500m (wish) over 14 years. Hope that gets it done.

These flight cancellations are getting real. Took nearly 30 hrs to get home from San Diego to DC this week with three separate flights canceled on @UnitedAirlines. The airline was actually really good & accommodating about the whole thing. But beware of a tough summer ahead!
