Remembrance Sunday is a day when we put politics aside and remember the fallen and those who gave sacrifice to our country. The pro-palestine poppy is decisive and being used to profiteer from remembrance.

I trust the Government to do their legal duty, to protect the environment, to adhere to our climate commitments and ensure energy security and sovereignty for the long-term. It trust the decision to approve Jackdaw meets these requirements.

Any decision must be paired with a package of support for workers and a renewed focus to ensure oil and gas giants don't offshore profits and load up joint ventures such as Adura with debt, alongside further work to...

Great to see fellow MP & construction expert @mike_reader speak at the launch of @RICSnews Skills Report, which is highlighting shortages in the surveying profession, essential skills for housing development & large infrastructure projects. The largest gap is mid career surveyors especially women. As someone who has been there & became a FRICS (fellow) - the Labour Party’s support of equality in the work place helped me my whole career -since Blair and Brown till I stopped in 2024. Our new Employment Rights Bill strengthened maternity and paternity rights, creating the conditions for women to thrive in careers like surveying and will benefit those to come up through the profession as I once did. It was therefore so lovely to hear from RICS Matrics Chair Annabelle Huffer MRICS - an associate building surveyor at Knight Frank.👏

Thank you for listening. As I said, foreign oil and gas companies rapidly depleting our strategic assets is not in the interests of our country's existence and energy security!
Can @mike_reader consider the contribution that oil and gas makes to our existence? Interview @BBCr4today 7.15 on jackdaw and rosebank. Labour MPs are so naive. They believe in fairies/the Ukraine war/that oil materialises from nothing. We’ll be in the dark with no food.

Respectfully, this is nonsense. UK JR rules blocked delivery, which is why Labour changed them in the Planning and Infrastructure Act. Who voted against that? The Conservatives. Repeatedly!
The Aarhus Convention lets mad activists delay power stations, roads, and reservoirs for years at a time. And if they lose in court, *our money* covers their legal costs. We must leave the Convention and make Britain a country where it's actually possible to build things again.

Not journalists. Propagandists.
Reform UK is hiring at least 12 journalists to build a "national publishing operation" including a digital newsroom and expanded video output via Reform TV on Youtube

BREAKING: Bridget Phillipson responds on behalf of Labour to the racist and antisemitic motion today. It’s strong and she doesn’t mince her words to be fair. Bridget Phillipson MP, Chair of the Labour Party, and Minister for Women and Equalities, responds to the Green Party’s vote on Zionism at the Green Party Conference, said:   “It is shameful to vote against a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine and to condemn the vast majority of British Jews and Jews around the world as racist for supporting Israel’s right to exist. It is fundamentally wrong and the leadership of the Green Party must make clear that this will not be their position moving forwards.   “The Labour Party has always been clear that criticism of the policies of the Israeli Government is not antisemitic, and the Labour government has condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank. But today’s vote at the Green Party Conference crosses a line and should be condemned across the political spectrum.   “This vote underlines how important it was that we changed the Labour Party from top to bottom and ripped out the scourge of antisemitism from within the party.    "The Labour Party and the Labour Government will continue working every day to ensure our Jewish communities are safe, feel safe and have their rights upheld, as well as making sure we rid our society of antisemitism once and for all.”
