It’s ironic how the hashtags is called #CARATSPROTECTMINGYU bcs somehow y’all are his #1 anti by always making fun of him and talking like y’all know him in any way that leads to a massive hatred towards him oh I’m so sick of this when did y’all learn how to stfu 😒
the continuous bittersweet unit erasure and also the lack of JxW unit music shows, stages and promotions really says a lot on how we think Wonwoo deserves a solo and by the time it happens pledis better sort their shit out and promo the shit out of it bc imagine how tired we are
i mean, if you’re truly a wonwoorideul, you can see how he has been treated over the years. what disappoints me even more is that it wasn’t just wonwoo himself, but all of his units have also been treated badly.
first, bittersweet. they were introduced as the first unit of seventeen, yet look at how people treated them. there were people who refused to acknowledge them as an actual svt unit, questioned their place within svt’s unit activities, and simply ignored their existence. imagine having a unit officially introduced, only for people to act like it doesn’t even count. and treating this unit as a FANSERVICE only. they deserved so much more recognition and appreciation, especially considering how meaningful that project was.
then came JxW. honestly, where do i even begin? they had to prepare for their unit activities while also preparing for maestro and other schedules. the workload was already a lot, yet their promotion period was so ridiculously short. it felt like they barely had time to let the unit breathe, let alone properly promote and enjoy the project. they gave us an entire album, performances, and their own identity as a unit, but the opportunities to showcase all of that felt so limited. and after the promotions ended, it was as if everything was quickly forgotten.
and this is exactly why wonwoorideuls want wonwoo to have his own solo. we want him to have the opportunity to explore his musical identity, showcase his abilities, and show people what he can do as an individual artist. we want to see him have a project centered on him, where his hard work and artistic potential can finally receive the attention they deserve. whether it’s a solo or another unit, i just hope things will be different this time. i hope he’ll be given enough time to properly promote his work, and receive the recognition he deserves. i don’t want to see another one of his projects being rushed or treated like an afterthought.
after seeing how his previous projects and units have been treated, can you really blame us for wanting more for him? we’ve seen what he’s capable of, and we know there’s still so much more he can offer as an artist. it’s frustrating to feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface of his potential. after everything, i just want to see him given the chance to shine and have his own moment, too.
