This line is too unreliable even if the odd incident occurs - clearly the infrastructure can't cope. Glad I'm getting the Oxford Tube to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park on December 18th if all is well! โ at Abingdon, England

Planning to cycle through the West End? ๐ฒ
Cycling is no longer permitted on the traffic-free section of Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street. We will maintain an active presence of enforcement officers.
You can continue your journey using the surrounding highway network and choose an alternative route from the nearby streets that remain open.
Plan your journey using our London cycling map to find accessible cycle routes, as well as Santander Cycles docking stations: tfl.gov.uk/modes/cycling/
Hats off to @TfL who are no doubt getting tons of backlash over the new Oxford Street! It's not everyone's cup of tea (I'm drinking decaf currently) but it means safer pavements! โ at Abingdon, England

I tell you despite the tantrums about #OxfordStreet pedestrianised, it's been wonderful on here tonight ๐

Walking might seem longer for some but at least public transport in London is frequent and easy to get to.
Plus with a fully pedestrianised street, the... โ at Abingdon, England

Oxford street has entered a new chapter๐ถโ
The section between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street is now closed to all traffic, including buses, cars, taxis, cycles, pedicabs and scooters. This the first step in transforming the street into a greener, more accessible and welcoming destination.

Ohhhhh Gorrrrd ๐๐๐. Closing a Tube Station for a year will be fun! โ at Abingdon, England
Oh no. โAngel tube station in Islington which sees almost 12m passengers a year, may be shut by @TfL while it replaces the station's escalators.โ
Why on earth does this have to take a whole year - already the case on Bank to Monument escalators?

A new era for the nationโs high street starts in two days.
Nearly a kilometre of Oxford Street will become traffic-free, creating more space for people and marking the beginning of its biggest transformation in a generation.
Here @mark395625? How much frothing do we reckon will happen on here ๐

From tomorrow Oxford Street is going to be car-free, bus free and it is set to be pedestrianisation only.
The stretch between Orchard Street, near Selfridges, and Great Portland Street, just east of Oxford Circus, will be closed to vehicles.
Buses, taxis, private hire vehicles, bicycles, scooters and pedicabs will all be diverted.
Passengers: Please take note of this if you've not started travelling - too many times people are determined to make the most of it then moan to the train operator! โ at Abingdon, England
โ๏ธPlease DO NOT TRAVEL between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly/Manchester Victoria in both directions.
โ๏ธRAIL REPLACEMENT TRANSPORT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED
โ ๏ธPlease be advised that other operators may also be affected by this disruption.
๐ซIf you have a ticket dated for Sunday 25 October, you can use it on any TransPennine Express service on Monday 26 or Tuesday 27 October at no extra cost. You do not need to buy a new ticket.
Journey planners are being updated and may not immediately reflect all changes. Please check again before you travel.
