The Centennial girls are on fire. Kearney Catholic’s Hazel Haarberg takes down her Class C 100m record of 11.73 from 2024 with a wind-legal 11.55, as evidenced by the thumbs-up sign from our wind measurement official (he later informed me it was a -0.4 m/s headwind). More importantly, she also breaks the All-Class record of 11.64 set by Dajaz DeFrand in 2022. Hazel told me after the race that she knew she was going to break the record as she ran - she had no missteps and was still accelerating at the finish. The wind has died down and her Class C record of 24.04 for the 200m may be in play in a few hours.

Kearney Catholic runs a 48.22 4x100 at Ord to break their own Class C record of 48.26 set on April 19th. For those who are counting, that's the 2nd State record of the day for Alyssa Onnen and the 31st State record of 2024.

The 15th State record of the season. If you watched these ladies last year before Hazel’s injury, you knew this record was in peril.

WOW. A comeback for the ages!
@KCHSVolleyball1 was down 14-11 in the fifth, rallied to tie it and win 17-15.
Absolutely unbelievable. The top seed survives.

Huge win for @KCHSVolleyball1 over previously unbeaten Minden. @mkhaarberg sharing some insight into the rivalry and how @HuskerVB helped them storm back. Top seed in C1 heading into District tournament this weekend. #nebpreps
