What Canadians and MSM are not discussing is this new emissions reduction plan for autos. Instead of using sales targets to force change they will now use emission targets to force change to evs. Current requirements of 175 grms / mile will be reduced to just 74 grms/ mile. That's a whopping 230% decrease in tailpipe emissions? Totally ridiculous target forcing the end to ICE vehicles in Canada. The US is going to loose 780,000 new car sales in Canada due to this mandate. Canada will loose its auto industry totally reliant of foreign ev makers like China!
Let's cut through all the bullshit and deflection. This new ev mandate that came out in Feb 26 is why there is no deal. Carney and his friutcake net zero policies is what's really behind this trade dispute!
I thought the ev mandate was postponed. In fact with a little research, I found that the real change was from sales targets to tailpipe emission targets. Clever bastard this Carney. Ramming his net zero policies down Canadian throats without any mandate to do such a thing. Very little discussion during the election about climate policy! All the discussions came down to who can get a deal done with Trump!
This is dishonest politics it's its worse!
What was actually in the final version of the deal?
What were the specific provisions that led to its collapse?
Sources in this article contradict what Carney.
There is one way to clear all this up: RELEASE THE DEAL!!!
Let Canadians judge for themselves. After all, political pundits and government officials won’t pay the price. It is the Canadian worker and taxpayer who will.
They have a right to know.
Ontario voters better wake the hell up. Our future lies in integrated trade with the US not lack of trade with europe where after 11 years they won't even ratify the CETA free trade deal.
Our manufacturing sector has been in decline since the fed liberals took power. Has been reduced by 830,000 jobs since 2014. These are private sector jobs that generated huge tax revenues! Has been overtaken by Healthcare and social services jobs. Flooding the province with immigrants has served this sector well. All at taxpayers expense and a massive reduction in tax revenues.
Who will be left to pay the bills?? Premier Ford struggling with revenues to balance the budget. I can see why?
The scariest part is Carney plans on phasing out our auto industry with his new tail pipe emission law that industry says not possible to meet without huge investment. No market for these emissions reduced vehicles in the US where we ship 90% of our production. Cheaper to move than invest in the technology. There are 12 Honda plants in the USA and only 1 in Canada. No need to build new plants just transfer to other existing plants. Toyota has 5 US assembly plants, same deal for them as Honda. Carney putting these companies into a position where it makes more sense to move than deal with his tailpipe emission requirements.
Carneys net zero policies are out to destroy Ontarios and Albertas biggest private sector industries. Destroying our tax base at the same time?

Admittedly, the PMO Canada- EU Summit press release was inoffensive. Canada should sell more LNG and critical minerals to Europe, and Canadians would benefit from more choices in Banking and Insurance. Erasmus is exciting for college kids, and protecting the Arctic seems sensible. So do waterbombers.
But the devil is in the details, or in this case, the Joint Statement, which lays the groundwork for Digital IDs, Carbon pricing and the insane fantasy of Net-Zero, the supremacy of the UN and the ICC and a blank check for foreign conflicts. pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/…
But at its core, it's doublespeak. To increase Canada's sovereignty, we need to hitch our economy and legislation to the EU, whose economy is in shambles, whose politics are fracturing, and whose leaders have gotten every major policy decision of the last 10 years wrong.
Anyone KNOW when Carney asked Canadians IF they wanted to be a part of the EU ?
ottawa.citynews.ca/2026/10/2…
Simply dont understand Canadian voters? Latest Nanos projections has liberals winning in Ontario?
Carney has done a miserable job protecting auto and manufacturing jobs. Over 657,000 people work in this sector. His ev mandates will end auto production by 2035. About 500,000 jobs on the way out. This has nothing to do with Trump. This is Carneys plan. Trump is just making it easier for Carney. Can blame the loss of 500,000 jobs on the orange man instead of his policies. Mr Net zero wants no gasoline powered cars sold in Canada. Tail pipe emissions law will ensure that.
Yet when Nanos surveys ont voters liberals are expected to win 110 seats??
In 2014 manuf sector in Ont was 3rd largest employer with 1.5 million employed in the sector, 11% of economy. After 12 yrs of liberal policies we now have 657,000 jobs in this sector in 2026, a loss of 843 ,000 over last 12 yrs. Medical system and social services now employ more people than the manufacturing sector!
Yet Ontario voters claim they will vote liberal next election??
What's really strange is when I look up the mauf jobs in 2014 in stats Can the result is 1, 487,000 jobs. In 2026 the manuf jobs show 657,000. Yet when I ask Google how many mauf jobs were lost since 2014 the result is only 232,000? Google math?? Remember AI looks for info on the web including gov articles. The gov has been down playing the numbers covering up this huge job loss.
Are Ontario voters really this dumb?? Can't do simple math? 1,487,000 minus 657,000 = 830,000 jobs lost in this sector. Fact! Net zero requires a massive reduction in manuf sector jobs. Carney and Trudeau are achieving their goal at the expense of good paying manuf jobs that generate tax revenue. . Being replaced with gov payroll jobs. No wonder we can't balance a budget.
Being married to a liberal politician sure has its perks in Canada!
Does anyone else find it repulsive that the Wanker Banker has enhanced Skelator his wife’s income by appointing her Ocean Envoy with a 1.2 billion dollar budget to embezzle oops work with.

Remember when Trump wanted Canada more aligned on trade policy/tariff walls against adversaries, defending our SHARED border… and Canadians lost their minds over it and started boycotting America? Calling them a threat to our sovereignty?
And then… when the EU President wanted canada more aligned on policy, parliament, governance, and courts, and tariff policy… Canadians cheered and talked about how much progress was being made?

How long will this theatre go on?
While Canadians can’t afford food and homes, Mr. Carney has distracted for months with big talk about “Associate Membership” with Europe. Now, Europe has rejected it.
For the next two days, we will be distracted again from the cost-of-living crisis with wall-to-wall media coverage on yet another grand theatrical meeting to sign a bunch of meaningless declarations filled with big words (catalyze, anyone?) and promises to meet again to talk more. No one’s mortgage or grocery bill will come down.
We already have a free trade deal with Europe, Mr. Carney. Get the 9 countries who have not ratified it to do so. And get EU countries to let our beef into the continent and cancel their planned carbon tariff on Canada. Otherwise stop wasting your time and our money. Both are running out.

CBAM in plain English
CBAM stands for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. It’s basically a new carbon charge (like a tariff) that the government puts on certain imported goods.
What Carney’s version does:
Canada already makes big industrial companies pay a carbon price. The CBAM would force imported versions of those same products (mainly steel, aluminum, cement, and similar materials) to pay a similar charge if they come from countries that don’t have their own carbon price. The idea is to stop other countries from undercutting Canadian companies and to push more countries to put a price on carbon.
What it means for regular Canadians:
• Higher prices on everyday stuff. Steel and aluminum go into cars, appliances, houses, buildings, and infrastructure. When the cost of those materials goes up, manufacturers and builders pass it on. That shows up as higher prices at the store, higher construction costs, and more expensive homes and vehicles. There is no household rebate attached to this one the way the old consumer carbon tax had.
• Pressure on Canadian jobs and industry. At the same time, the European Union has its own CBAM. Canadian steel and aluminum companies that sell to Europe are facing extra costs and paperwork because Canada’s carbon system isn’t fully linked with Europe’s. That can hurt competitiveness for producers (especially in places like Quebec and Atlantic Canada) who are already dealing with U.S. tariffs. Lost sales or squeezed margins in those sectors can mean fewer jobs or lower wages.
• Government gets some money, but you still pay. The Canadian version was estimated to bring in a few hundred million dollars a year. That’s revenue for Ottawa, but it comes from higher costs on the goods Canadians buy. Any administrative costs, trade fights, or economic drag also get paid by taxpayers and households one way or another.
Bottom line for the kitchen table:
It’s another cost added onto materials that end up in the things you buy and the buildings you live and work in. It is meant to protect Canadian industry and climate policy, but the practical effect for most people is higher prices on a range of goods, plus extra pressure on the metals sector that many communities rely on. The exact size of the hit depends on the final rules and rates, but the direction is clear: more costs get pushed down to consumers and businesses.
CBAM was part of Carney’s 2025 “new measures” he introduced to “build Canada strong”
This is a new carbon tax for Canada.
It’s no coincidence that the EU / Canada summit is happening right now as we close in on 2027.
It’s where he was going to start to implement the Carbon Boarder Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)
This will increase the cost of goods to Canadians that fall under this Carbon tax.

It's a social program paid for by people who are not eligible. I gave a perfect example on how to create a self sustaining personal plan. Not paid for by others. Looking after my needs is my responsibility not yours.
Grew up in a different era than younger people. Even paid OHIP premiums for my medical coverage.
Near total reliance on government was never my plan. Listening to kids whine about affordability pisses me off. Your greed and dependence on gov hand outs caused your problems. Don't whine to me about it. No sympathy here.
Even child benifits which I and my wife never received. 700 per month per kid?? No wonder we are in so much debt. 30.5 billion per year that only benifits 26% of families. Then liberals pay for school lunches and subsidize daycare on top of that. My taxes pay for all this without any benifit to me. In my day we got tax credits not cash handouts! Rewarded for working and raising kids.
My generation brought in universal health care. But it was supported with OHIP premiums not just another government Freebie! Responsible support! The concept is totally lost on younger generations.
60 billion per yr now in gov debt interest. Significantly more than health transfers.
100 billion for HSR that nobody really "needs"??? 83 billion on failed housing programs. 300 billion on failed climate initiatives? This gov is spending its way into bankruptcy!
This is the future your generation is building. Debt! How long do you really think this is sustainable. 10,20,30 years, then what it all comes crashing down?

Leave it to liberals who will now decide when it's time we die. Regardless of the personal circumstances? Maybe that DNR order decicision we make was only a worse case outcome, not really expected. It's my decision not some stranger who doesn't know my particular circumstances. Maybe I still need another month to wrap up my affairs the way I want them? I can still work even if bedridden, with modern tech there is a lot I could still do. But having someone decide my quality of life is not acceptable compared to the costs to keep me alive??? Only liberals could be this arrogant and cold hearted!
BREAKING: M.A.I.D. now part of DNR Orders(Do Not Resusitate) with Bill C-41...
Massive outrage as Canada’s highly controversial medical updates spark absolute horror over patient safeguards. Critics are calling it an unhinged dystopia after proposals emerged that could blur the lines between standard medical care and state-sponsored life-ending procedures.
Under the guise of "advanced directives," critics warn the system is opening a terrifying backdoor that effectively lets medical institutions decide if and when to end a citizen's life. Slipping lethal execution protocols into a patient’s medical chart—collapsing the line between a standard Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order and an active push for medical assistance in dying (MAID)—is a localized death sentence.
Giving hospitals the bureaucratic authority to decide when someone's "quality of life" has expired is an unspeakable violation of human rights. Bill C-41 is turning hospitals from places of healing into execution chambers. This is absolute insanity.
