In 40 days, Dead Gowns’ new album Vegas will be released. There’s no start to any album this year that’s more stunning, more ambitious than the first two tracks from it. Geneviève Beaudoin (@voila_deadgowns) has created something very special, and I can’t wait to watch it unfurl.

Vegas comes out on October 23.
And according to Dead Gown’s wonderful label @mlrecordingco, the result of Geneviève’s work on it is “all bright lights and dark waters.”

Sluice's third album does a scary good job of intoning the nihilism of a country stripped of its core, reduced to an empty, rotted-out vacuum of empty promises stretching out into infinity. pastemagazine.com/?p=422532
