John Harbaugh: “If you’re a position coach, individual period is your time to shine.” No long lines. Get players reps. Work on what matters. Build drills around the skills your players will actually need on game day. Be thoughtful. Be creative. Be imaginative. @HarbaughCoach

Never gets old watching this run by @Giants RB @camskattebo5 in a state title game for Rio Linda. You could argue it's one of the best all time.

I coached for almost 20 years, and never wore a backpack to the sidelines. From 2001-2012, never even took my phone to the sidelines. 2012, was an AD and Coach, tons of headaches at a crappy facility, had to have phone as an AD. Then, I carried: - Phone - 2 sharpies - Play card In 2013, I started carrying an IPad with me. I had a JV kid film special teams, the run it down to me when I asked; not against any rule!! What in the world do these coaches carry in their backpacks that they need on sidelines?! Change of clothes? I brought a lock and locked those in a locker on road trips.
Backpack coach is bad. Backpack coach on Friday nights is worse. Backpack coach in the huddle on the field during a timeout is an abomination.

John Harbaugh: “If you’re not organized, you’re not a good coach.” Especially during individual. No long lines. No wasted reps. No drills just because that’s how you were taught them. Every rep should prepare your players for something they’ll actually have to do on game day.

Former New England Patriots OL Coach Dante Scarnecchia - Traits of a Good Sideline Coach (OL) - A good sideline coach watches all of the offensive plays and very little of the defensive plays. - Your job is not to watch the entire game. Your job is to coach the players you coach. Watch them play & when they come off the field, coach the hell out of them. - You need to spend all your time with your players, get/impart the information and make them better for the next series they go out there.

At first glance, they may look a lot alike… But in reality, they couldn’t be more different! RPO’s versus Play-Action 🔥 What’s the difference and how can you tell them apart? Here’s the (hopefully) simple answer.

After hearing announcers call every play where the QB keeps the ball “Zone Read,” I felt compelled to make this video 🤣 Here’s a very quick overview of what Zone Read is and what it isn’t ✍🏼
