Glad to see Helsinki touted internationally as a positive example of reducing urban car usage. Domestically, it certainly doesn't feel that way due to the "culture wars" aspect of the effort mentioned in the Wired article

Tarvittaisiin enemmän puhetta siitä ainakin @OsmoSoininvaara n joskus esillä pitämästä asiasta, että korkean tuottavuuden eli rikkaassa yhteiskunnassa kaikille ei oikein riitä sellaisia palkkatöitä, joilla myös elää.
Varsinkaan jos myös ympäristörajoissa pitäisi pysyä.
Harva työkyvytön työtön pääsee kiinni vakiintuneeseen ansiotyöhön. Työhön päässeillä näytti olevan tyypillisesti monin tavoin muita paremmat lähtökohdat, kuten korkeampi koulutus ja lyhyempi työttömyys.
