For #monkeyshines2025, Year of the Snake, I modeled and cast the Aztec feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl!
Let me know if you find one! If you think someone else would appreciate it more, feel free to rehide. Just let me know if you do.
Enjoy!
What an awesome day! We found an official Grant rogue and a medallion this morning!
We agonized for a while over which glass to keep, but we wound up re-hiding this one. We're feeling super grateful today. 😊

Oh, one last shoutout! Both days we found glass this year I was wearing my @MamaChaos3 Flashlight People shirt from Year of the Tiger!
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
We also saw someone find an orb right in front of us! They were SO excited and came right over to show us! It was an absolute beauty, and it was really heartwarming getting to witness and share in that moment with a stranger! 😊
This was one of our top days of shining, all time!
I can't remember who was making these adorable little guys, but found at Urban Waters! He's very cute! Thank you!

We found another gorgeous medallion last night as well! We found the clear one shortly after, so we returned this one to the wild. :)

Snakes alive! We found this beautiful medallion tonight! Clear glass is a bucket list find. We could not be more thrilled!
That's half the cycle complete for us!! Thank you to @TheMsMonkey and crew for all the magic they built into this crazy event!

We'll be out hiding again this weekend. Reminder, my clues will be on bluesky.
Trying to ease the transition, I made a list of rogues so people can easily rebuild their follow list. It's like what @Offcentershines made a while back. Not a group, just a list. #monkeyshines2025
There are already over 50 accounts on the list. I'm happy to add anyone. I'll automatically add anyone I know is hiding.
It's just like Twitter back when it worked right. I hope you'll give it a shot! See you out there this weekend! #monkeyshines2025

Getting super close now! About $600 left to the goal!

It's that time again! Let's support a project that brings our community together through art. Every dollar helps create glass pieces for everyone to find. Please donate and share! gofund.me/423629c9 #monkeyshines2025 🐍🐍
I changed my mind on the playlist. It's now public.
I just wanted to drum up donations to the GoFundMe, but I got weird feelings about having a "paywall". That's not what this thing is about.
Here's the link if you're interested!

I made a Year of the Snake playlist. It's 26 songs, 1:40. All songs that reference snakes, serpents, etc. in some way.
If you DM me a screenshot showing you donated to the GoFundMe (no name, no $), I can reply with a Spotify link.

PSA: I remember year of the ox it snowed and people had issues with thermal shock breaking orbs. With the cold temperatures, remember to warm them up slowly!

Hey guys. I’ve decided it’s time for me to switch to Bluesky for my clues.
I’ve valued the cohesion of the community enough to stay til now, but enough people have left it’s hard to justify next to all the clear reasons to leave.
A few rogues are already there. It’s open and easy to join. Search, hashtags, notifications work right. Accounts aren’t filtered. It’s just a better platform now. And in my opinion the real-time system is better than IG or FB for clues.
I’m Caster Monkey on Bluesky as well. I’ll keep this account open at least through this season, but clues will be there. I started a Monkeyshines list to help find everyone again. I can add you if you reply to my post under #monkeyshines2025.
