What wonderful news to return home to, and what a proud moment for Nigeria!
As First Lady Oluremi @SenRemiTinubu and I returned from engagements in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States this evening, I saw her keenly watching the Flamingos’ World Cup final against Japan. What a joy to see our girls defeat Japan 2–1 and become the first African team to lift the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup trophy.
Our young girls have conquered the world, made history and brought immense honour to Nigeria and the African continent.
I followed your remarkable journey throughout the tournament in Morocco, and I remember your promise after the semi-final victory to bring the trophy home. Today, you have kept that promise with courage, discipline and unwavering belief in yourselves.
Your triumph goes far beyond football. Millions of young Nigerian girls will look at what you have achieved and know that they, too, can dream big, compete with the best and reach the pinnacle of their chosen fields.
I congratulate every member of this exceptional team, the coaching crew, the Nigeria Football Federation, the National Sports Commission and everyone who contributed to this historic achievement.
On behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, I salute our world champions. You have written a glorious new chapter in our nation’s sporting history.
Nigeria celebrates you. I celebrate you.

IKERE GORGE DAM: SEVEN YEARS, STILL WAITING
In 2019, Seyi Makinde promised to transform Ikere Gorge Dam into a Special Economic Zone, creating opportunities in hydropower, irrigation, agriculture and exports.
Seven years later, where is the promised transformation?
The Federal Government has now stepped in. On January 30, 2026, the 6MW Ikere Gorge Hydropower Project was handed over to Quaint Energy Limited under a PPP arrangement, with plans to expand its capacity to 150MW.
Meanwhile, Makinde’s much-publicised 11MW Independent Power Project remains another subject of questions over delivery and implementation.
Oyo people deserve answers. Campaign promises must translate into measurable results.

PRESIDENT TINUBU SPEAKS ON ONE OF HIS OPPONENTS, @atiku and Minister of FCT, @GovWike.
When those people talk about hunger, remember that I am cleaning up the mess they created. Atiku was one of them.
Ask him how he built a private university while in office as Vice President in charge of our economy. Who funded the university for him? It was your money, your effort! A man without moral integrity, latitude, and ethics has no business holding public office.
Today, I have many of you Rivers people in government working so hard, particularly in key areas. Wike is already a vital development partner of the Bola Tinubu administration. He is doing a wonderful job—he is committed, very hardworking, and combines a clear vision with a mission. Help me thank him for his immense contribution to the infrastructural development of our country.

PRESIDENT TINUBU SPEAKS IN RIVERS STATE;
“Thank you for the last election in 2023. At the time, things looked bleak, but you trooped out to support me and gave me the mandate that I use to govern to this day. You are positive contributors, and I must thank you for going out there to vote for me and for the APC.”
“Today, I return here to say thank you and to seek your support once again for a second term. I am seeking that support because you believe in me. You believe that I care for you—particularly all of you, the young youth. Your education, your welfare, and your skills are extremely important to me and to Nigeria.”

"For example, here in Port Harcourt, those of you who aren't too young will remember when Michelin operated a tire-manufacturing plant right here. When was it shut down? It was closed down under Atiku Abubakar as Vice President and head of the Obasanjo administration's economic team. I actually went there at the time to fight for higher wages for the workers. Today, nobody is working there. If Michelin or another major tire manufacturer returns to Port Harcourt—whether you studied chemical engineering or computer engineering—wouldn’t you rather work there than seek a job in the civil service?
When we talk about inclusive growth, it means bringing back manufacturers who left, or replacing them with more efficient producers offering diverse products. By contrast, the reckless deregulation and complete abandonment of government responsibility under Atiku Abubakar turned the Nigerian market into a dumping ground for imported Michelin and Dunlop tires.
This President is taking decisive action so that we don’t labor away in poverty and lament high unemployment, but instead build specific institutions that drive broad-based growth. When the opposition talks about joblessness, ask them: what are their specific, concrete plans to fix it?". - Senator Adams Oshiomhole At #RenewedHopeInRivers.

"Please, when we talk about consolidating on the gains of reform, we must remember that if you are building a 50-story building, you need to lay a very solid pile foundation. While you are doing that underground foundation, narrow-minded people might ask, "Why are you pouring money into the ground?" But any competent civil engineer knows that is an absolute precondition for building a massive edifice that can accommodate the entire Nigerian family.
Look at what His Excellency the President has been doing over the past three years. Now that the pile foundation is completed, and as the President noted during the anniversary, it is time to share the prosperity of growth. I want to speak on some of the key issues the President is committed to delivering. I know we need more than two hours to cover everything, but as they say, a short man should not make a long speech!
To start with, the President is committed in his second term to pursuing inclusive growth. Let me take a moment to explain this clearly. You can have macroeconomic growth while joblessness still rises. The President is committed to inclusive growth; meaning an economic policy regime that drives job-led growth, not jobless growth...." - Senator Adams Oshiomhole At #RenewedHopeInRivers.

Malami was behind the Magodo saga in 2022, with claims that he personally gave the order
Where is Malami today? Power is temporary, and no position lasts forever
The same man once associated with that episode is now facing public scrutiny. Life has a way of reminding everyone that accountability cannot be avoided forever

"Mr. President, we all know that a good gesture calls for reciprocity. Just as you have stood for us, we will stand for you. As you have supported Rivers State, Rivers State will support you equally. As you seek the renewal of your mandate in the forthcoming presidential election, Rivers State will back you fully and completely.
As a government firmly in control at the grassroots, we will repay your kindness with our votes, our loyalty, and our support. We promise that under your guidance and under the leadership of our coordinator for the Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, the Honorable Minister, we will win this campaign and mobilize our people to deliver a decisive victory with no less than three million votes for Mr. President.
Let me also place it on record that, although I am an APC member, Rivers State operates under a Rainbow Coalition. Under this coalition, we have a shared slate that spans across the APC and the PDP. We assure you that our combined slate will be delivered come January 2027.
Mr. President, I want to thank you once again for your love for Rivers State, for this region, and for the entire country."- Governor Sim Fubara At #RenewedHopeInRivers.

"Mr. President, when our state was at a political crossroads, you intervened as a father and a true statesman amidst intense uncertainty. You did not look away. You reached out with a fatherly hand, called for peace and harmony, intervened directly, and made personal sacrifices so that our administration could remain standing and continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Rivers State.
Today, by the mercy of Almighty God and your fatherly intervention, Rivers State is peaceful.
On behalf of the government and the people of Rivers State, I say thank you. Thank you for standing with us during our most difficult moments. Thank you for your love and support for Rivers State." - Governor Sim Fubara At #RenewedHopeInRivers.

"Yesterday, I heard someone ranting on News Central, asking why we are worried about campaigning every day. He claimed he doesn't worry because he is so popular that he doesn't need to campaign. Let it be on record that the Vice Presidential candidate of the ADC told the world he does not need to campaign in Rivers State. Let him not claim tomorrow that he campaigned and the election was rigged. He did not campaign, and nobody is going to vote for him.
Remember, in 2023, the same presidential candidate defined who a "brother" is. He said a brother is someone who identifies with your problems when you are facing challenges. He stated that political brotherhood has nothing to do with blood relations. Isn't that so?
So, who is our brother now? Our brother is Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He identifies with the people of Rivers State: he completed the Port Harcourt road project, and he established the Federal University of Environment in Ogoni. In fact, since the return to democracy in 1999, Rivers people have never had it this good, we have received no fewer than 47 political appointments from Mr President." -

"I welcome you to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 40,000—not 20,000, not 16,000, not 10,000, but 40,000 capacity. It is important for us to recognize this. This is a Rivers State rally.
We did not mobilize anyone from outside the state. Your Excellencies, when you came to campaign in 2022 and 2023, this was not the stadium you used. You used the Yakubu Gowon Stadium at Elekahia, Port Harcourt City. But today, you are using the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Ikwerre Local Government Area. - Minister Nyesom Wike at #RenewedHopeInRivers.
