The Instagram Direct engineering team modernized @Instagram messaging at scale using Jetpack Compose. 🏗️
By replacing their legacy architecture with an AI architecture and Compose-native alternatives, they maintained a high performance bar and reduced their UI codebase by 50%. 🤯

💡Wish to adopt Bazel for your Android app? Check out my new blog post!
🚀 It will guide you through building a robust platform for automated migration to Bazel. Learn how Bazel adoption is performed at Turo! (🧵1/3)

You can adopt Bazel in your codebase too! The migration process at Turo is powered by 2 open-source tools I built:
👉Airin - is a Gradle plugin that scans your project build configuration and outputs corresponding Bazel files. (🧵2/3)
github.com/Morfly/airin
#androiddev #bazel
💠Pendant - is a Starlark code generator written in Kotlin. You have full control of the contents of generated Bazel files.
With its declarative nature, use Kotlin DSL that replicates Starlark syntax for easy code generation! (🧵3/3)

Introducing Amper, a new experimental project configuration tool focused on usability, onboarding, and IDE support.
⭐️ You can currently use Amper with Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform; it also supports Java and Swift.
⚙️ Implemented as a Gradle plugin, Amper uses YAML for its project configuration format.
💻 You can try it in @JetBrains_Fleet or in @IntelliJIDEA.
Give Amper a try, and share your feedback with us! jb.gg/7gv1nl

Guess what game engine I used for this?
A: It's #FlameEngine on top of @FlutterDev.
This is the result of combining fragment shaders with some oof the great APIs on Flame. Namely: CameraComponent and Collision detection.
Made this for #flutterConfLATAM
