hate to be that “too woke friend” but the reason the far-right can consolidate power is because the left have become so consumed with puritan success that we can’t except progress starts with imperfect people. we either want something to happen perfectly or we give up.

No matter your politics, it's obvious the US is falling apart. I simply cannot imagine blaming some of the least powerful social groups (immigrants and trans people) instead of the people at the top with decision-making power--call them oligarchs, capitalists, whatever you want.

A lot of Americans unfortunately do not know this but unhoused people are regular people like you and I that have no homes. They had careers, families, kids. Many addicts started their addiction after they needed to cope with the lack of housing and being spit on by pedestrians.
This homeless man has a degree in chemistry and worked in the field ten years. He was laid off and could not find another job. Months later, he ran out of money and became a door dash worker. He got his car stolen, then ended up on the streets, and you guessed it. Became an addict.

Crazy. I wonder if it has something to do with rent being unaffordable, food being unaffordable, insurance being unaffordable, daycare being unaffordable, college being unaffordable, home owning being unaffordable, medical care being unaffordable, and a pandemic.

its so funny that conservatives are like “colleges are breeding grounds for communism” meanwhile every university is like “unfortunately, after our students decided to violently speak about politics, we were forced to expel them from the Koch/Pepsi Department of Genocide Studies”

Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed. We must continue to change our nation’s approach to marijuana while reforming the justice system so it finally lives up to its name.

it's almost like if you produce too much... too fast... in a brazen attempt to completely saturate and dominate a market rather than having something important or even halfway interesting to say... the art suffers!

Homelessness is a policy choice. None of us have to be homeless. We’ve got empty apartments, homes and buildings everywhere. The people y’all voted for would rather pass legislation that makes homelessness illegal so they can throw you in jail and use you for prison labor.
