The new US administration will focus its trade policy on tariffs on manufactured goods, Australia is uniquely placed to not face any direct action. Where Australia might be impacted is if China - the likely key recipient of trade action - faces a growth slow down and accompanying lower demand for resources. The pricing of Chinese goods to non-US countries will also be interesting and it seems it could be lower to boost demand.
