Iโm building a platform that 9to5ers and quick food service businesses have been waiting for.
FARMSTACK is building a distribution layer that makes getting food stuff supplies easier than taking your bath to even get to the market. FRESH.
Building a company in Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ is really not for the weak!!!
A lot of things must be done, the more you go the deeper you get Omo
EPISODE 1 โ Behind The Business ๐ฌ
What does it take to stay in business for 30+ years in Nigeria?
Today, I sat down with a car dealer who has spent over three decades building his business and now has 1,000+ vehicles across his showrooms
Which business should I visit Next?
Hmm. Perhaps you donโt know what moniepoint actually does hereโs a summary.
Nigeria has always been a heavy cash society, but we needed a more faster solution to move money and create opportunities for employment, moniepoint saw that gap and feasted on it.
What do you think about the Agro real estate market in Nigeria today??
Over hyped or just not ready yet?
I'm Building the infrastructure that connects the fragmented elements of Agriculture in Africa...
From Production Deficit to Produce flow
From Long distance Processing Plant to Localized Modular processing plants
From Distribution deficiency to structured food distribution
From manual/inaccuration data to Full didgital agricultural presence
From wasted arable lands to Tech enabled full stack Agro estate
Thats the infrastructure I Glory Benjamin Uche is Building at FARMSTACK AGRISOLUTIONS LIMITED

The fastest way to fail in farming is trying to know everything by yourself.
Recently, me and 4 other ginger farmers tested different selective herbicides from different companies simultaneously.
Everybody sacrificed a tiny portion of land for testing.
Within one weekโฆ
We already knew:
which one worked
which one stressed the crop
which one was a waste of money
and which company was just selling packaging.
Thatโs the power of community in farming.
Alone, it could have taken months of trial and error and a lot more money to figure out.
That small collaboration saved all of us from making expensive mistakes on large scale applications.
Some farmers see other farmers as competition.
I see them as data sources.
I know a lot of farmers like to move in silence.
But agriculture is one industry where the right network can literally save your season.
Find people growing what you grow.
Share information.
Share updates.
Share failures too.
Your farming circle matters more than people think.
One good farming circle can increase your profits more than another acre of land.
Tag a farmer that gives you useful information.
We all should not still forget that many people talking about this man didnโt get the full context of what he was talking about!
You only heard the part that hurt your feelings thatโs why the hate is growing, try to watch the complete video and then position yourself.
BOA PROPOSES MASSIVE LAND MECHANISATION DEAL WITH LAWMAKERS
THE UPDATE: The Bank of Agriculture is asking every member of Nigeriaโs House of Representatives to join a nationwide tractor deployment plan. The goal: mechanize arable land across all 360 federal constituencies.
WHY IT MATTERS: If approved, this partnership could slash import reliance and curb food inflation by boosting local farm outputโa potential win for farmers and consumers alike, but a loss for food importers.
THE BOTTOM LINE: This tractor initiative could finally turn Nigeriaโs idle farmland into a productivity powerhouseโif the politicians sign on.

How much will you REALLY make from 1 Acre of Lettuce (Hydroponic setup) in Nigeria?
This time we will be making some adjustments
๐ Controlled environment (greenhouse/shade net)
๐ NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) system
๐ 60-day cycle
๐ Year-round production
And oh boy do I have a surprise for you on this one
So stay with me
You know the first rule
Land cost is not included
Second rule
If you want consistency, you need structure
Labour
๐ 1 manager + 2 workers + 1 assistant = โฆ350,000/month
๐ 2 months = โฆ700,000
Planting
๐ Spacing: 20cm x 20cm

๐ pH control: โฆ25,000
๐ Growing medium: โฆ120,000
๐ Chemicals: โฆ30,000
๐ Electricity: โฆ60,000
๐ Total Inputs: โฆ415,000

๐ 10% loss โ 90,000 heads

๐ โฆ350 per head
๐ Total Revenue: โฆ31,500,000

๐ Profit: โฆ30,035,000
๐ ROI: ~2,050% in 2 months
Reality Check

๐ Greenhouse + NFT system: โฆ8Mโโฆ12M upfront
๐ Real total setup: โฆ10Mโโฆ15M
Worst Case
๐ Power failure โ 50% loss
๐ Yield: 45,000 heads

๐ Revenue: โฆ9,450,000
๐ Cost: โฆ12,000,000

Biggest lie
โYou can start with โฆ500k and scale fastโ
Reality
๐ Infrastructure is the real barrier
๐ Power failure = crop loss in 48โ72 hours
๐ Skilled labour is critical
MY VERDICT
High capital, high return.
A cash-flow machine only if infrastructure is already in place.
So if you have โฆ12 million today
Are you putting it into hydroponic lettuce farming?
How much will you REALLY make from 1 Ton of Black Soldier Fly Larvae in Nigeria? ๐ชฐ
This time we will be making some adjustments
๐ Target: 1 ton fresh larvae per cycle
๐ System: Intensive enclosed shed (no rain dependency)
๐ Cycle: 28 days
๐ Feed: Organic waste + starter feed
And oh boy do I have a surprise for you on this one
Most people think BSF is cheap magic
But the waste-to-value math is brutal if you do it properly
You know the first rule
Land cost is not included
Second rule
If you want consistency, you need structure
Labour
๐ 3 staff + 1 supervisor = 200,000/month
๐ 1 cycle = 200,000
Colony Setup
๐ 1 kg starter eggs: 25,000
๐ Colony maintenance: 15,000
๐ Total Seed Cost: 40,000
Feed/Inputs
๐ 3,000 kg waste @ 10/kg = 30,000
๐ Starter feed (500 kg): 75,000
๐ Total Feed Cost: 105,000

๐ Total Revenue: 315,000 Naira
FINAL NUMBERS
Investment: 345,000
Revenue: 315,000
๐ Profit: -30,000
๐ ROI: -8.7% in 28 days
Reality Check
BSF is a volume business. Small scale loses money.
๐ Waste quality affects output and price
๐ Fresh larvae must be sold within 48 hours or processed
Worst Case
๐ Waste cost rises to 30/kg
๐ Yield drops to 700 kg
๐ Revenue: 245,000
๐ Loss: -85,000
Biggest lie
โIt turns trash into free moneyโ
Reality
๐ Logistics and labour eat margins
๐ You need drying or scale to win
MY VERDICT
At 1 ton, you lose money.
Real profit starts at scale (5+ tons per cycle).
So if you have 345,000 Naira today
Are you putting it into BSF farming?

Someone asked me why Iโm so confident my farm will succeed.
He looked at the crop list like it was madness:
Cocoa. Plantain. Pepper. Watermelon. Sugarcane. Maize. Ginger.
โHow do you expect ALL these to be profitable?โ
I smiled.
One word: GINGER.
He got confused.
So I broke it down for him
Everything you just mentioned?
Theyโre not the business.
Theyโre the engine.
They pay salaries.
They keep cash flowing.
They make sure the farm never stops breathing.
But my real bet?
My real obsession?
Ginger.
Then he asked the real question:
โWhat if ginger fails?โ
I smiled again.
Because this is where most people misunderstand farmingโฆ
They treat it like luck and luck is gamble.
And I donโt gamble.
So I treat it like controlled probability.
I didnโt plant one ginger farm.
I planted six.
Not side by side.
Not the same way.
Not even with the same logic.
Different locations.
Different staff.
Different methods.
One farm โ bare land method (Southern Kaduna style)
One farm โ planted with ridges (Thailand style)
One farm โ used trenches (China style)
One farm โ no mulch at all
One farm โ bamboo leaf mulching
One farm โ traditional system
Same crop.
Six different experiments.
Now do the math.
If 3 succeed out of 6โฆ I win BIG.
If 4 succeedโฆ I dominate.
If all 6 succeedโฆ I disappear for a while ๐
For me to lose?
Four out of my farms would have to fail at the same time, under different conditions, managed by different peopleโฆ
Thatโs not farming anymore.
Thatโs sabotage.
He went quietโฆ then said:
โSo basicallyโฆ your plan canโt fail unless God Himself is against you.โ
Exactly.
Thatโs why when I tell my staff:
โDonโt joke with my gingerโฆโ
They understand.
You can mismanage maize.
You can experiment with pepper.
But ginger?
Thatโs the crown jewel.
You even bring goat near amโฆ you fit lose your job that same day ๐
Anyway shaโฆ
Ginger no hard like that.
But Donโt plant it sha.
Leave it for only me.
