Im incredibly proud to see MAVLink-M named as a preferred standard in DDP 3, alongside @neros_tech APEX and sUPI. Huge thanks to the working group and to the DDP team for betting on open standards. info.nstxl.org/-drone-dominaโ€ฆ #DroneDominance #MAVLink #OpenSource @Dronecode

Phase 3 of the Drone Dominance Program is live, and weโ€™re raising the stakes once again, allocating $450 million toward roughly 60,000 drones. Awards will be split evenly across two mission sets, with an option to buy up to 40,000 more. Deep Strike and Close Quarter Battle (CQB) mission sets return from Phase 2, with tougher scenarios and a faster pace. Both will be tested in GNSS- and comms-denied environments. We have a huge news to share today! Today we are unveiling the first truly accessible RL robot - welcome Microduck A 25 cm tiny open-source biped with 15 actuators and packed with sensors (camera, speaker, LiDAR, NFC, bluetooth, wifi, etc) that you train yourself with reinforcement learning. It's also playable out of the box with more than half a dozen fun and playful pre-trained policies to have it walk, sit, crouch, roller-skate, pick up objects with its articulated beak, and recover on its own. And all for less than $400. See all the details, play with the simulator and order it at: pollen-robotics.com/microducโ€ฆ (video with sound on ๐Ÿ”Š)

Happy birthday Linux ๐Ÿ‘
"I'm doing a (free) operating system (just a hobby, won't be big and professional like gnu)..." On August 25, 1991, a 21-year-old student sent a message to a Usenet newsgroup. He thought he was just building something fun for himself. 35 years later, that "hobby" is the backbone of global technology: ๐Ÿš€ Powering helicopters in space with NASA โ˜๏ธ Running the global cloud and 100% of the worldโ€™s supercomputers ๐Ÿ“ฑ Connecting billions of people ๐ŸŽฎ Redefining the future of handheld gaming What started as one student's side project became the greatest collaborative technology movement in history. Thank you to every maintainer, contributor, and advocate who made it possible. Happy 35th Birthday, Linux. Hereโ€™s to the power of open source and the next 35 years of building together. learnlinux.ie/content/linus-โ€ฆ #Linux35

Competing drone companies just proved they can solve interoperability faster in the open than any of them could do alone this week at the Dronecode Foundation MAVLink-M Integration Hackathon! Read the press release to find out more: dronecode.org/drone-industryโ€ฆ

This is a day for history! We established together with @DeptofWar โ€˜s Drone Dominance team and leading players from industry the MAVLink-M payload standard with live strikes on our tank by different partners. MOSA is a theory until you put metal on the target and we did!

๐Ÿ”— The link from research to industry is short with PX4. The same stack runs in the lab and in production, so work moves forward instead of starting over.
