The left isn’t immune to antiblackness. They often indulge in lecturing Black people about how we’re solely supposed to focus on classism while we’re gaslighted into thinking that we’re hallucinating structural and institutional racism
OK so now we definitely know this committee is racist. They had no interest in protecting a black academic when he was being hounded by the press but the white academics who weren’t even named they’re now rushing to protect. We see you.
STATEMENT: The Committee for Academic Freedom (CAF) was troubled to see academics smeared from the stage at last night’s vigil for Jason Arday in Trafalgar Square.
As reported by several national media outlets, Diane Abbott MP claimed that “other professors” had waged a three-year “vicious campaign” against Arday because they “just didn’t believe that a black man should be a Cambridge professor”.
That is a serious, categorical imputation of racist motive, and those familiar with the controversy could reasonably have understood Abbott’s remarks as referring to a small, identifiable group of academics known to have raised concerns about Arday’s work.
Unfortunate though it is to revisit those events at such a desperately sad moment, we feel obliged to restate what the factual record — much of it established publicly long before Abbott’s remarks — shows about one of those academics whom CAF is supporting.
David Harris, Professor Emeritus at Plymouth Marjon University, first raised concerns about Arday’s doctoral thesis and subsequent peer-reviewed publications in May 2023. A sociologist with a longstanding interest in how ideas from the critical theory tradition are used in empirical educational research, Harris encountered Arday’s work amid the publicity surrounding his appointment as Professor of Sociology of Education at Cambridge two months earlier.
Harris privately raised concerns with Arday about what he called “puzzling similarities” in reported data, repeated passages and possible failures of attribution. His covering email concluded simply: “I would welcome any response.”
This was not, in other words, a “vicious campaign”, but an emeritus professor engaging closely with another scholar’s published work, identifying apparent problems and asking that they be examined. Several of Harris’s concerns subsequently resulted in corrections to Arday’s published work.
When it emerged last month that Arday had reported Harris to the police for harassment, CAF warned of the chilling effect of invoking the law against awkward scholarly criticism, exposing academics who test published claims or raise questions about research integrity to allegations of criminal wrongdoing and prolonged police investigation.
That same chilling effect arises when Harris’s scholarly scrutiny is retrospectively recast by a senior parliamentarian as racial animus before a large public gathering and amplified through the media.
The scholarly community has traditionally governed its own standards, and its ability to continue doing so depends upon academics being free to ask difficult questions about one another’s work, even where those questions may prove embarrassing or reputationally damaging. Without that freedom, the processes through which scholarship corrects itself and academic standards are maintained cannot properly function.
In those circumstances, CAF will be writing to Ms Abbott asking her to withdraw or correct her remarks and making clear the seriousness with which we regard them. Should those remarks cause him serious professional or reputational harm, including any loss of academic title, status or institutional privileges, we will ensure that he receives appropriate specialist advice on any legal remedies that may be available to him.

Jason Arday got his job because of the colour of skin, unlike me who got my job because my dad is a Viscount/CEO of a super market/Mates with the owner of a news network/In the Epstein Files.

It’s not just him, and it’s not just academia. We’re seeing these stories everywhere whether it’s public services, corporate jobs, or public figures/politicians. They are literally harassing kids who got into university fairly with the correct grades.
It’s open season on all of us and that why respectability politics must go in the bin.
My final comment on the Professor Jason Arday saga is that there’s probably more to the story than we realise or can ever get to know. Possibly, some influential individuals with power over the British media no longer want him in UK academia.
These same individuals have also paid and positioned trolls across platforms to attack anyone who’s interested in presenting a balanced narrative or calling for the need to allow for institutional processes to take its full course.
I’ve had several conversations with senior black academics and trust me, it’s lion’s den for most of them.

Please stop saying Nathan Cofnas was "fired" or "sacked" by Cambridge. This is a very common misconception. He was removed from an unpaid affiliation with Emmanuel College. He continued to research at the philosophy faculty, paid in full for the two years of his fellowship.

The more I read about this man the ANGRIER I get! He was CLEARED of plagiarism he was found to have misattributed a paragraph which in academia is NOT A BIG DEAL nowhere near the level of PLAGIARISM. This was a witch hunt and a tragedy!

Besides the obvious racism, it seems he saying opportunities should be given to people based on nationality rather than merit. Isn’t that what you people having been telling us is an issue?

Jason was a guest on my show a little over a month ago, speaking to the importance of support for Black neurodivergent people.
Generous, considerate, gentle & complimentary, among other things. He exuded a palpable warmth you could feel through the radio. Such a nice man. RIP🖤
Here’s the reflection we need:
- Only white success is viewed as normal
- Black success is frequently questioned
- Excellence is treated as an accident
- People look for flaws to prove their point
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said the death of Jason Arday — who was the University of Cambridge's youngest ever Black professor, but resigned after accusations of plagiarism — was a tragedy that needed reflection reut.rs/4zpqjok

I think this has probably shocked me more than anything else.
The Times ran multiple ads trashing Jason Arday. This one reached 195,746 people & ran until Aug 16 - today.
There’s a rearguard action to defend journalism. But this isn’t journalism. It’s monetised racebait.

A Jewish Zionist academic - Nathan Cofnas, who was suspended due to his promotion of “hereditarianism/race realism” - the kind of racial superiority “science” that claims Black people are inherently “BIOLOGICALLY” less intelligent than white people, was responsible for the jealous rage-filled media dog pile on Jason Arday - Cambridge’s youngest Black professor who was accused AND CLEARED of charges of plagiarism.
The same kind of plagiarism that Jewish Zionist lawyer for Israel - Dershowitz👇🏼, and many others like him, have been completely forgiven for.
4 things:
1. Despite them claiming to be racialised and not white, Jewish Zionists seem to be strangely drawn to eugenics, scientific racism, and racial white superiority science.
2. Cofnas was on a fierce anti-DEI crusade, blaming it for Arday’s hiring. For a group that taps so hard into DEI policies to both claim victimhood and exert institutional power to suppress people and get them fired for opposing Israel, Jewish Zionists seem to hate the shit out of it.
3. Contrary to their relentless victimhood narrative, Jewish Zionists appear to be continually protected in public life like no other group, even if they are the perpetrators of crimes.
4. To the shock of no-one, a Jewish Zionist appears to be responsible for the death of yet another non-Jewish non-white academic (almost 200 academics have been killed in Gaza since 2023),
Important to note that Dershowitz and Cofnas are both white European Ashkenazi Jews, so they both quite conveniently ride the wave of white supremacy, as well.
Jewish supremacy and exceptionalism intertwined with white supremacy, and deeply enshrined in western colonial institutions, will always ensure any crime committed by Jews - whether intellectual, moral, or physical is brushed under the rug.
Be it their manufacturing of consent for genocide, the blatant intellectual theft by Dershowitz, or the online lynching killing of Arday by Cofnas.
Don’t ever forget that Jewish identity - through both supremacist logic and victimhood logic - is used as both weapon AND shield.
I talk about this extensively in my book.

It's not just Arday.
Check the comments they write about Black Teenagers who got all As in A level.
Check how British media writes about Rashford/Saka vs. how they write about Jack Grealish and other White players who "flopped". Check how they talk about Black doctors and nurses who committed an offense vs. how they talk about the Whites who did the same.
The only wife most people remember her name in the British Royal Family is Megan.
You are not permitted to notice a pattern or ask why. You'll be accused of trying to use "race to dodge accountability."
The Times and The Sunday Times published about 44 articles about Professor Jason Arday.
The Telegraph published 43.
The Daily Mail published about 38.
The Independent published 24.
The Spectator published around 21.
The Guardian published about 19.
The Daily Express published more than 10.
The Sun published 9.
It was a disproportionate media pile-on.

Replying to @zei_squirrel
AND the allegations against Jason Arday were investigated; he was cleared.
Cambridge is going to do exactly what it did to me 3 years ago - use that supercilious, infuriatingly passive-aggressive British silence to distance itself from a public ritual lynching that it enabled and helped along.
Jason Arday was CLEARED of the plagiarism allegations by the way. His dissertation was reviewed by LJMU and he was found to have misattributed A SINGLE SENTENCE out of 146,000 words - misattributed, not copied! Meaning he actually credited that sentence to a source, but it was a secondary source instead of its primary source.
A disgruntled racist with an agenda seized on that ONE SENTENCE of wrongly attributed text in a 401-page dissertation and the entire uk academic community and media jumped on it, just like they did with Onyeka and I in 2023.
And what Cambridge did back then instead of backing me against the silly allegation of "misogynistic comments at my book launch" - comments that are still yet to be identified 3 years later - was to write me a letter telling me to stay away from the campus and "use my affiliation sparingly."
It was precisely because of this stupid letter that I put "2023 James Currey Fellow, @Cambridge_Uni" on my bio. I'm doing the exact opposite of what they wanted, and I dare them to come out and say anything about it.
I'm willing to bet that was exactly what they did to Jason, and that was probably why he resigned. I'll even wager that just as the slimy Dr Bronwen Everill was in my DMs during that episode pretending not to know what was going on and acting like she was helping me, there was probably someone from his faculty silently managing him and convincing him to stay quiet as he got ritually lynched, because that's how Cambridge behaves.
My lesson from this episode was that whether on a construction site in Wigan or in a faculty office at Cambridge, british racist lynch mobs all behave the exact same way, and you should never cave in to them and give them what they want (the satisfaction of your self immolation), or bother negotiating with terrorists like them.
Maybe it's because of their failed attempt with me that they shifted their attack towards a vulnerable autistic black man. They couldn't win against someone who could fight back so they selected a weaker, easier target. Which again is very typical british behaviour.
I'd sooner respect an Israeli Zionist settler before a fucking brit. An entire island full of the worst form of degenerate coward you have ever come across.
