With 97% of the vote captured it is clear that Ekurhuleni mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza and MMC for Finance Jongizizwe Dlabathi will lose their seats in the Ekurhuleni council as the ANC are most likely to have no PR councillors.

🟡 The ANC has won approximately 63 ward seats in Johannesburg.
🗳️ Its reduced overall vote share means it is set to receive ZERO additional PR seats.
📋 Masuku is No. 1 on the ANC PR list, Morero No. 4 and Mgcina No. 5.
Despite their senior positions, none is assured a place in the new council.
⚠️ Final individual council membership remains subject to official confirmation.

"8 WEEKS OFF THE ROAD: NO PARTS, NO ETA, NO COURTESY CAR FOR A 2026 CHERY TIGGO 7 PRO 🚫🚘
My 2026 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro (1.5T Prime DCT) has been sitting completely off the road and unrepaired since 17 September 2026 following an accident.
For nearly TWO MONTHS, I have been passed back and forth between Chery South Africa, Chery Boksburg, Mazda Germiston, and Action Panelbeaters—all while continuing to pay monthly vehicle finance on a car I cannot drive, plus massive out-of-pocket expenses for alternative transport.
The excuse? Outstanding parts with zero ETA, zero accountability, and zero courtesy vehicle provided by Chery while we wait indefinitely for components for a brand-new 2026 model.
Despite formal escalations to Chery Customer Care (Ref: 7a2cb410-cec9-11f1-8675-7fe0b58ac9e2) and executive management, there are still no answers.
Today, my car is parked right in front of Chery Boksburg with a message they can’t miss:
CHERY FOR SALE | 2026 MODEL | NO PARTS | NO ANSWERS | STRANDED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2026
Chery South Africa, when will you take responsibility for your supply chain and look after your customers?
Please share so Chery customers know what they are getting themselves into!! "

To everyone who keeps saying the DA is a white party that Black South Africans will never vote for, please gather here. The DA went from 255 votes in 2021 to 1,919 votes!
That's a 653% increase!
Apparently, someone forgot to inform Khayelitsha that they are supposed to hate the DA.
Maybe it's time we stopped deciding for Black voters and allowed them to make their own political choices.
The ballot box doesn't recognise racial stereotypes! 🇿🇦

And from a communications point of view, this kind of strategy is far more effective than ANC telling voters "we gave you grants. We gave you freedom." It wasn't just Gwede. A lot of them did it. I remember one Minister cornering a student at a tertiary institution telling him how he was there because of the ANC. It doesn't work. Especially when you know nothing about that student - maybe he has no money for food and transport; maybe he has debts, maybe his siblings sre also struggling. They are abrasive, tone-deaf and very often adopt a triumphalist tone. The ANC's generic messaging (grants, freedom) can never beat these directed, forensic case studies. But they will say "You just hate the ANC." They listen to cheerleaders and that's why they are here.

As I understand ASA’s pre-conditions to negotiate with the DA: DA must resign its mayoral candidates in JHB and Tshwane, and replace them. Then it must make ASA’s candidate mayor. So basically, they will not negotiate with the DA. That was quick.

Replying to @ME_Beaumont
The rest of us also have receipts.
It simply proves ASA is not about the people they serve, it all about yourselves.
Like the ANC.
If the DA works with the devil, let them work with the real deal, not temu specials "#ANCLite 🤣

I know he quietly goes about it in the background, but I want to give a shout-out to @AshorSarupen for his efforts & leadership in the @Our_DA.
@geordinhl has a strong leadership team, & the DA’s growth is testament to that.
I’m glad the public & voters are backing them! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Listening to Geordin Hill-Lewis on eNCA now.
He tells parties to rise above their egos and personalities. To put the people of South Africa first. First leader who has actually said this.
He anticipates an additional 200 DA councillors joining its ranks. The DA has received over 1 million votes from black South Africans. In Cape Town, Kouga and Umgeni the DA has secured solid majorities.
The DA will be the biggest party in at least 4 metros. Manguang still close.
He says that the party has already started the work to be the biggest party in 2029.
He says they will approach coalition negotiations with other parties with deep respect for their results and humility.
He appeals for parties to rise above politics and put residents first. Emphasizes the need foe humility.
Says that cities must have a period of long and sustained progress. He invites parties who want to put South Africa first to speak to the DA. The DA has already informally reached out to various parties.
Emphasizes that coalitions must fix broken municipalities. Create opportunities. Bring down poverty and inequality.
He is explicit. He will not conduct coalition discussions via the media. That is bad faith. But all agreements will be published publicly.
The arrogance, utter disdain and behaviour displayed by @HermanMashaba and @ME_Beaumont reminds SAns of the bitter taste of Juju like ego trips. SAns lets support mini GLU (+DA+ANC +FFP + IFP) for all hung metros nationally. DA should not be forced to work with @HermanMashaba + @ASA.
Hayi maan... is Chester missing near @HermanMashaba ...
