Black boys deserve to go home.
Iβm done tearing yβall up in these replies. Not one person who disagreed with this post managed to make a single coherent point or argument. I said what I said. Go argue with ya mommas, drink your water, leave Black Americans the fuck alone, and be blessed.
Whatβs weird to me is how some Black immigrants or children of immigrants hold onto resentment toward Black Americans because they were teased or bullied growing up, as if that experience was uniquely tied to them being African or Caribbean. The reality is that kids from all backgrounds, especially those of us who grew up in predominantly Black and/or brown communities, got teased about something.
Thatβs not me condoning bullying or treating it like some harmless rite of passage. Bullying can absolutely leave lasting scars. But turning those childhood experiences into a broader grudge against Black Americans, while framing it as though African or Caribbean kids were uniquely targeted, feels misplaced. Thereβs a difference between acknowledging the very real xenophobia some people experienced and generalizing that experience into resentment toward an entire group.

They donβt give a fuck about the deceased child.
They just want a Black American βgotchaβ moment.
100k+ like is crazy. Iβm genuinely baffled and embarrassed for people in the diaspora who are this obsessed with Black Americans claiming America as our home. Nobody tells Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Brazilians, Afro-Colombians, Afro-Mexicans, or or other Afro-descendant populations throughout the Americas that they canβt claim the countries where their families have existed for generations. Their ancestors were brought there through the transatlantic slave trade and chattel slavery, yet nobody tells them that they have no right to claim those countries as home.
Yet⦠Black Americans are constantly treated as though we are perpetual outsiders in the only homeland our people have known for centuries. We are descendants of people who were forcibly brought here, enslaved here, built lives and communities here, survived Jim Crow here, fought for citizenship and civil rights here, and shaped this country culturally, politically, and economically. We are the ones who fought to dismantle the racial barriers that made it possible for other people of color to immigrate to, live in, and build lives in this country.
What makes these diaspora conversations EXHAUSTING is that many Black Americans were raised to love ALL Black people, not to view them as people weβre supposed to compete against.
Africa is our ancestral origin, but America is our homeland.
