Builder Spotlight: MT Immobilizer, by Madigawa Tech (Bayero University Kano) Aminu is a mechanic in Kano. One of his clients bought a Honda Civic to take his children to school and put Aminu in charge of servicing it. The car has no factory immobilizer, and the owner wants more security on it. Many cars on Kano's roads have the same gap: KIA, Hyundai, Pontiac Vibe. Imported immobilizers are expensive and can't be repaired, and if you lose the tag, you buy a whole new unit. MT Immobilizer is a key-fob tag and a hidden receiver. The tag sends a paired signal about once a second. If it isn't in the car, a buzzer warns the driver to park, and then the fuel pump is cut. A lost tag can be cancelled and a new one paired at the workshop. Where they are: a bench version on ESP32 boards already pairs and locks.
