Other countries also protested for better living conditions. Do you see any other countries' flags? Do you see masked people? Now compare that with France "protest for better living conditions". Not a single French flag, these are not "French" people.

I am a hardcore "guns to the public" are bad, but looking at the videos from France, I genuinely wish those shopkeepers and random people getting attacked, had the right to carry a gun and defend themselves with the gun.
I lived in this delusion for many years. The sweet summer child of a high-trust, homogenous upbringing. Beautiful innocence, really. Wish I could have it back. But now I own a 9mm and a .45 instead.

I completely agree with DHH, the software as the code itself is not scarce and precious anymore. What will be "precious " will be ideas, benefits, functionalities of the software, and not the execution as in who writes the code.
The entire copyleft licensing regime was built for a "software is scarce and precious" world that no longer exists. But watch the old guard cling to these obsolete rites like a pre-reformation priest to a Latin Bible.

How do people claim to build apps ONLY with AI, having AI do the architecture and reviewing it and do tests and so on, when everytime I try to give my small simple crud and some local cache app to Sol or Astra, it either finds a new "bug" or says "or you can do this but it's optional FOR NOW" like wdym bro for now ?? It never says ok that's good it's fixed 😂 Well...back to the SI factory to burn some more tokens

in the 90's must have been quantum entanglement messaging, because my parents knew everything before I reached home without any phones
Hot take 🌶️ I think schools should stop electronic msging to parents — WhatsApp, emails, school portals, all of it! I think things were fine when kids came home and told parents about school, they brought us notes for urgent matters and were responsible for their own schedules
