I spend a lot of time thinking about products, features, and the ways technology can make teaching and learning a little easier. But some of my favorite moments are when I get to connect directly with educators and hear how they’re actually putting these tools to work. I’m proud to celebrate the incredible educators, schools, and systems being recognized today, and grateful for everything this community continues to teach us. Want to be part of it? Couldn’t agree more with @DerekJohnsonSV on InterActive Slides in PowerPoint
Last week we started rolling out interactive slides in PowerPoint, and I wanted to share more about why I think it will transform your presentations when you can explore ideas together with your audience. With interactive slides, you can use Copilot to synthesize context and data to create dashboards, timelines, or other slides you can click through to highlight insights and tell your story. Recently, @satyanadella wrote about why we need to treat models as insider risks, with security controls sitting outside the model itself. Today, Microsoft is putting that principle into practice by expanding Project Perception with new capabilities to help continuously assess agent risk, adapt permissions, and contain threats. blogs.microsoft.com/blog/202…

Awesome update for Copilot Studio
Today we’re taking another step toward our vision of an agent for every person and every process. Last month, we started rolling out Autopilot. Today, Copilot Studio is taking the next step with persistent agents in Microsoft 365. This means each agent can have its own account, so people can email it, add it to a Teams chat or channel or mention it in Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Business process memory carries all the teamwork and context forward in the next cycles all while IT stays in control. The first capabilities begin rolling out in preview today, with more planned. aka.ms/persistentagents/blog

Some really useful updates in Copilot Studio
New in Copilot Studio: Agent accounts + agent memory + agent triggers = a big step forward for teams automating business processes. Now agents built with Copilot Studio can get their own identity, use it to interact across many surfaces, remember context and improve across those interactions, and kick off work based on events and schedules, not just chat messages. This goes way beyond a personal productivity assistant. For example: A Budget Coordinator agent can now review every new cost line item overnight, tag the right owner in the spreadsheet on transactions that look like they need more scrutiny, drop a summary into your group Teams chat and respond to three emails about invoices while you're on the train into work. BudgetCoordinator has its own secured access to data and interacts and responds as itself (not a maker or end user). It remembers what it was told and the preferences of people who interact with it. A Project Manager agent can collect status from multiple signals and people, remember it all and update the report accurately, be mentioned in a comment and respond to it, and know to send the right updates to stakeholders every day at 5pm. "ProjectManager are we on track for milestone 3?" "ProjectManager mentioned you in a comment" Check out details and demos here: microsoft.com/en-us/copilot/…

Introducing Microsoft Copilot for legal: Today, we’re announcing the general availability of more than 20 purpose-built legal skills and new partner-built plugins, bringing legal-specific capabilities and trusted sources directly into Microsoft Copilot. Building on what we previously introduced as Legal Agent, these capabilities now come together as legal plugins in Copilot. They go beyond prompts to support deeper document work in Word, work across multiple files and steps in Cowork, and connect to the trusted systems and sources that legal teams rely on.
