Happy Halloween from us at Walker Library! We've scoured our Special Collections for some of our most appropriate seasonal pieces.
Earlier this afternoon, Arts in the Atrium returned with a special Halloween-themed performance from the MTSU Bassoon Ensemble.
Tomorrow! Stop by Special Collections on the fourth floor to learn how to embroider the stem stitch and the Bayeux stitch. No experience necessary.
We'll also have Bayeux Tapestry cross-stitch patterns and coloring pages available!
Need a flu shot? Stop by the library from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. today or tomorrow! For more information, visit here: mtsu.edu/healthservices/flu-…
Join us tomorrow for the Seed Library's Seed to Sprout event, kicking off a month of events for MTSU Engage! We'll be set up on the first floor beginning at 11 a.m.
Our own Valerie Hackworth walks you through a demo of the hot press in our Makerspace! Join us on the second floor next Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to create your own air freshener.
Beginning next week, the library will host the first of THREE events we have planned as part of MTSU Engage Month. We hope you'll join us for all three!
Join us next week for Seed To Sprout!
Thanks to our partnership with MTSU Engage, you'll be able to pick up a seed starter kit and learn from campus and community experts about seed selection, growing techniques, and sustainable gardening practices.
Don't know where to start when you open up Microsoft Word? Join us this afternoon as we join forces with the University Writing Center.
Six faculty projects have been selected forAffordable Course Materials Grants. The continued interest in the program reflects MTSU faculty’s commitment to reducing the cost of course materials while providing students with high-quality resources that support student success.
Together, these projects are expected to save MTSU students more than $79,000 each year while expanding access to affordable and open course materials.

Congrats to our most recent Student Worker of the Month award winner, Natasha Smith, a vital member of our reference student assistant staff.
Twenty-five years later, we remember September 11, 2001.
From the Melissa Harris Travel and Tourism Collection, which is housed in our Special Collections, these postcards of the Twin Towers and a scrapbook created in the aftermath preserve a personal connection to that day.
Congrats to the two recipients of Walker Library's 2026 Information Literacy Curriculum Integration Grants, Thom Coats and Dr. L'Oreal Stephens!
Coats will be working with librarian Rachel Kirk to revise an Advanced Selling class (MKT 4850), and Dr. Stephens will partner with librarian Jason Vance to revise the online Audience-Centered Communication class (COMM 2200).
Both projects will incorporate library and information literacy skills and concepts into existing MTSU classes.
