A desperate man is holding a woman at gunpoint in the middle of the street, using her as a human shield. SWAT's sniper — Sierra 1 — is on the roof with a clean shot. He keeps repeating: "I got the solution. Cold zero." He's ready to take the shot if he has to. Down below, the negotiator is trying the opposite approach. Talking calm, begging him to put the gun down: "We're here to help you. We want to help." But the man is spiraling.
